But world isn't familiar enough with Americans to understand why they make these mistakes. I am! I know where it mainly comes from, and even recently pointed at it in a few paragraphs. Among the factors involved there is great difference in their respective roles in the final result. The biggest role is that of what I pointed at a few days earlier. A detachment between Americans in general and anything Iran and Iranians. And this is a consequence of the lack of an American embassy in Iran. The embassy will not be there in Tehran any soon. Right now, if you even opened one, "you" being Iranians or Americans, people of Tehran will club the American staff to death, right there at the gates before even they step inside. So there will be no embassy. But that doesn't mean Iranians themselves, or the Americans themselves cannot mirror almost the entire effect that an embassy would have on filling up that detachment. They can, I believe. As I said, all it takes is for Iran to invite (or the Americans to introduce) a team of selected Americans into the country of Iran to begin observing and studying Iran as well as the Iranians and the issues at hand. I have pointed at how the selection should take place so I'm not repeating that here. But I'd like to emphasize here that it will work! It will cut down the order of magnitude of the senseless loss and pain resulting from such mistakes. I mentioned Sullivan, for instance. That was a one-man job he did for a gigantic problem. Yet he did it appropriately. Result of that was, that instead of millions of people getting killed like in any other revolution and ending in the same result, only a few thousand people got hurt or died in it, with same result. It was thanks to Sullivan that big mistakes on the part of Americans were avoided. Just one person. All the big mistakes of the Americans toward Iran only happened after he was kind of fired from his job in Iran and was asked to leave Iran. The embassy itself was closed down when Americans opted to conduct coups right after Sullivan had left. I can myself count five of such coups. They say there were many more! That led to Americans losing their embassy forever. More, bigger, mistakes followed. USA threw Saddam at Iran, then supplied Saddam with chemical and biological agents, then began placing sanctions on Iran and Iranians as early as a few years into 1980s . Sanctions that has continued to be placed throughout decades since and up to just a few days back. Many more mistakes followed after that, but you get the point. Again, mistakes began to be made right after Sullivan was fired and the total detachment had formed. From day one that Sullivan left, Americans had "Israelis" to tell them what was right to do. Itself, a biggest mistake. Laingen, who replaced Sullivan, was of no caliber for the job. He was a placeholder. The last able ambassador was Sullivan. That's why I say a careful "selection" is due if it is Iran that you'll be dealing with. It is no easy job. Iran is no "Saudi Arabia" of yours. When Sullivan began his role all he saw were bad earlier decisions by past ambassadors limiting the pace with which he could analyze the enormously complicated situation. I don't want to get into that. But almost all the previous ambassadors were as good as cronies of this and that. They weren't fit for the job. They had all silently goofed up. And somebody, somewhere, must've known that too, cause they decided to put Sullivan there at the job. But it proved "too little too late" to reach their foul preset goals. And especially, they removed him too soon. But a lot was saved as long as he was still in Iran. A lot of mistakes got avoided. So the story of the role Sullivan played, today, has reduced to just why I used him as an example for my suggestion. His role kind of proves that a few bright "go getter" Americans must be either invited by Iranians to come in and study Iran, or placed by Americans themselves inside Iran to study her. This will cover a lot of loss that an absence of embassy will perpetually cause. American government is full of lowlifes, ignorants, yahoos, and smart alecks at best. "Bright go gethers" are extremely rare among them. When they removed Sullivan and began the never ending disaster for both Iranians and Americans, they still kept attacking him by bringing stupid excuses. Sure, if they had let him really finish his job there, and complain later, they may've had a point or two, but they removed him in the middle of his key role!
