A measurement of a length determines a value that can be any real number. All measurement instruments have an error amount because none of them are perfect. Some are better than others. For example measuring the length of something using a cheap tape measure or a very precise Vernier caliper. So if you wish to determine if the snail is length contracted or not when it moves, what precision do you need to tell if the length of the moving snail is the same as the stationary snail or not. Also the right tool for the job. You would not try to measure the length of the snail with a car's odometer as you drive past it. The odometer can measure to an accuracy of 0.1 miles (528 feet) at most.

Well, but we were talking about the length of a snail. We could say with regard to an individual snail that its length is 1 snail length. Then you are saying that if the snail moves on its trail of slime, it gets shorter. I just say its length is still 1 snail length.

Some are better than others. And the ones matching The Shit of ingenious Einstein are much better than the ones not matching it, of course. Even if they don't work. Because following The Shit is the right path and the only right path. Right, poor idiot?
