In a previous posting I also gave a reference to that paper:
https://paulba.no/paper/Hafele.pdf
The contents are pretty much the same.

An why do you think that is relevant?
You were still wrong when you said:

Both paper carefully explains what their experiment actually compared.

To measure a speed, you have to have frame of reference,
and the frame used by Hafele was the non rotating Earth
centred frame of reference (the "ECI frame").
The speed of ALL the clocks were referred to this frame.
You were wrong when you said:

However, their mathematical models are evidently not the same
mathematical
models you use.

GR is the only applicable mathematical model for the calculation
in the H&K experiment, and is the model used by both the "they"
and the "you" in your statement above.
You were wrong when you said:

There was NOTHING AT REST in their mathematical models.

THE CENTRE OF THE EARTH WAS STATIONARY IN THEIR MATHEMATICAL MODEL.

Yes, it is the same paper as on your site. If I click on the link you provided, it shows this: https://www.google.com/url?q=https%3A%2F%2Fpaulba.no%2Fpaper%2FHafele.pdf&sa=D&sntz=1&usg=AFQjCNEeQ7-eHRsuAT4pnPKHD-xDM_l5EQ But that link then takes me to your paper. That doesn't make any sense. Why? >If I get in a rocket and head for Neptune, I am moving away from the earth, >the earth is NOT moving away from me. PERIOD. What SR states is that there is no experiment that can tell you whether you are moving away from the earth or the earth is moving away from you. SR only is concerned with the fact that you and the earth are moving away from each other.

Why? You wrote it. It is gibberish. That is why it doesn't make sense. A rocket uses the earth as a "reference," but it is really a point in space where the rocket was launched. The fact that the earth is orbiting the sun is irrelevant, since the rocket is traveling in a straight line from point of launch, it isn't moving with the earth as the earth orbits the sun. It's a situation that is best described by an illustration. The illustration would show the space ship traveling in a straight line from the launch point while the Earth continues its orbit and the sun continues its orbit. > > >If I get in a rocket and head for Neptune, I am moving away from the earth, > >the earth is NOT moving away from me. That is total and complete nonsense. It is a fundamental misinterpretation of Einstein's First Postulate. SR states that time moves slower for the faster moving object. Time APPEARS to tick at the same rate in all frames, but when the length of a second in one frame is compared to the length of a second in another frame, the frame that is moving fastest will show a shorter length for a second. Time APPEARS to move at the same rate in all frames because all frames COUNT clock ticks the same way. When they reach 9,192,631,770 ticks, they consider that to be "one second" REGARDLESS of how much actual time it took to count that number. If two rockets pass each other in space, they can compare lengths of seconds by sending signals one second apart. The faster moving ship will record the other ship's second as being SHORTER than 1 second. The slower moving ship will record the other ship's second as being LONGER than 1 second. Ed

The point, you fail to catch, is that it doesn't matter what you think it does. What matters is what IT DOES. Huge difference.

Nonsense. That's some twisted version from some text book. Einstein states the First Postulate this way in his 1905 paper: "the same laws of electrodynamics and optics will be valid for all frames of reference for which the equations of mechanics hold good." > > > > Time APPEARS > > to tick at the same rate in all frames, but when the length of a second in > > one frame is compared to the length of a second in another frame, the frame > > that is moving fastest will show a shorter length for a second. > > > > Time APPEARS to move at the same rate in all frames because all frames > > COUNT clock ticks the same way. The First Postulate says: "the same laws of electrodynamics and optics will be valid for all frames of reference for which the equations of mechanics hold good." That means experimenters will get the same results INSIDE their frames of reference. It says NOTHING about what they will measure or observe if they compare results BETWEEN frames. Einstein's books get into comparing between frames. That is what my paper on Einstein's thought experiments is all about: http://vixra.org/pdf/1805.0251v3.pdf Ed

Someone on the ship will observe the cannonball fall straight down. Someone on the shore will observe the cannonball fall in a parabolic arc. Different results. Caused by different initial conditions, not different laws of physics.

The "very simple" part (which you call "twisted") was derived from the 'all laws are the same', much the same way that Einstein derived SR from that and the constancy of light.
