why would heat reveal a subatomic particle?
No Tom. You are wrong. Particles can't blow
macro bubbles.

Look up nucleation sites.
It's not heat but providing a starting point for creation of a bubble.

Meanwhile, particles don't know they can't nucleate bubbles so they
continue to do so, and continue to leave trails in bubble chambers.

BTW a cloud chamber subatomic particle detector is rather simple to build,
a high school level science project, if you want to see it for yourself.
The main difference between a cloud chamber and a bubble chamber is that
bubble chambers form gas bubbles in a liquid in response to charged
particles, while a cloud chamber forms micro droplets in a supersaturated
gas when a charged particle passes.
