NNTP (Network News _Transfer_ Protocol) is NOT "a tcpip ip transport
protocol" (that is a contradiction in terms: TCP is the Transmission Control
Protocol, a transport protocol, IP is the Internet protocol), but a protocol
of the _Internet protocol suite_.
It is also NOT the only network protocol of the NetNews protocol stack.

How can you be that stoopid! Now watch the stupid incapable to answer now this simple question: how many protocols are possible due to the above argument (mine), and which layer is the nntp a job of? I see you already amok in wikipedia. > It is also NOT the only network protocol of the NetNews protocol stack. > See also: <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usenet#Technical_details> The stupidest link-argument in the world, having nothing to do with the discussion in context. It's my time to waste. And I don't consider it a waste to see people here constantly arguing that all the articles that agree with me are just misunderstandings, and that NO ONE actually agrees with me. It's hilarious. I can also list famous experiments that agree with me, and you'll argue that the people who wrote the papers about the experiments they performed didn't know what they were talking about. And, even though they all agree with what I am saying, you still argue that no one agrees with what I'm saying. It is hilarious lunacy! Ed

No. It means the speed of light PER SECOND is the same everywhere. And, according to Einstein’s Theories of Special and General Relativity, the length of a second can be different almost everywhere. That means that if you measure the speed of light to be 299,792,458 meters PER SECOND in one location, and if you also measure it to be 299,792,458 meters PER SECOND in another location, if the length of a second is different at those two locations, then the speed of light is also different." > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Since the facts in that paragraph are undeniable, I assume everyone here fully agrees with it. It would be good practice. Students will definitely be helped by understanding CONCEPTS, too. It doesn't help to just dump mathematics on me and claim that I need to read the books you read and take the courses you take so that I will believe as you believe. If you do that with your students, you should be fired. Ed

still asking the question, IOW, in the gedanken world.

Extending the gedanken to include motion.
Notice the deliberate use of "appear" and "apparently" to
tip off the reader that what you expect from human experience
is not what is really happening.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Two parts here:
1. The "light traveled with the same velocity" in BOTH
coordinate systems! And this is based on experiments.
2. The "above observation" refers to the apparent observation
of the gedanken experiment in the previous paragraph.
IOW the gedanken predicts the speed of light would
be different, but experiment shows this is WRONG.

I highlighted some of the passages and annotated so
it would be less muddled for you.
Obviously the editors misunderstood as well, or they would
not have used that incorrect subtitle.

Time and frequentism are usually the same thing, i.e. that a clock measures passage (of time, or, the clockworks' events) at a fixed rate. There usually also that it maintains time, as about clock arithmetic and the infinite divisibility of rates as about motion. This though then is a calendar, and phenomenological instead of frequentist. The idea here I'm looking to get across is that local and absolute or universal time are various considerations in space contraction, that then also there is variety in the frequentist or phenomenological (and in the statistics of time-series data in events).

What do you think? It's along these lines. Why not just frame everything GR-stretch-wise as space contraction? About time and it's a ray of time and "G-d's so good at dice, He only needed to roll one, once", and one-way time, chance, and one-way time instead of one-way time, two-way time one-way time, and yes that's time symmetrical, time locally at least is always a constant frequency (and it's infinite).

Then clock differences are computed as over time in the space (instead of a usual linear estimate as what that is in only the space contraction, and that's space contraction, not length contraction). (You can put clocks all through the space there, in for example a thought experiment.) Then space relaxation is a usual natural tendency and not distorted. About the hyperbolic Pythagorean, norms, and the inequalities about the norms, this is giving the time differences (or rather, clock differences) instead in terms of, curved space-time, say. (Though usually gravity is "all" the geodesy here about the geometrostasis, or "space relaxation" of the geometrostatic.) Time then is flux (and it's a line current) so the clock-face is an image.
