Interesting. I was about to modify the orbital simulation program to see how an inverse r^4 law would behave, whether it could produce stable orbits. I may do it anyway, just for yucks.

Anomalous precession of Mercury can be replicated by a tiny change in the inverse squared force law. You can also approximately model the addition of additional planets (such as the hypothetical Vulcan) by a ring of particles having the same total mass as the additional planet and the same distance from the Sun. This method was used in the days before computers to compute perihellion precession. http://farside.ph.utexas.edu/teaching/celestial/Celestialhtml/node44.html Le Verrier had proposed either an additional planet or a dust ring around the Sun to explain Mercury. There was a several decades long period of "Vulcan-mania" with multiple sightings of the elusive--and totally imaginary--planet. https://news.nationalgeographic.com/2015/11/151104-newton-einstein-gravity-vulcan-planets-mercury-astronomy-theory-of-relativity-ngbooktalk/

For the count to be accurate, remove the option to set Y_initial.

Besides Prokaryotic Caspase Homolog saw the link and he said that the puck only go around the attractive source a few times and collapsed......no stable orbit as you insisted.

The “wasting time” you refer to is called background research or literature searches. It is something that EVERY physicist does as a core part of their work. It is a required skill. You do not want to learn or conduct a skill required for physics work. Therefore you are not going to do physics work. Stop pretending. And stop acting like a petulant child. Sheesh! There is no fiction. That’s why the experiment was performed on an air-hockey table.
