Wouldn't be that acceptable error resulting from the fact that the speed of satellites can be ignored compared to the speed of light?

There are a lot of interesting things about time, but one thing is sure: every serious standard of time (UTC,TAI, GPS, ECI) assumes clocks indicating t'=t with a precision of an acceptable error), i.e. galilean transform. "local time", this incredibly ingenious revolutionary concept of our beloved Great Guru - practically doesn't exist. SI standard, designed especially to protect The Shit against common sense and force us to apply this idiocy - is dead. Of course - standards of the real world are set by common sense, this collection of prejudices. They always were. But a bunch of fanatic followers of The Shit is continuing to enchant the reality and pretend that clocks DIRECTLY INDICATING galilean transform confirm their precious time dilation.

Thanks. At least I found someone else from the same universe :) I have watched a few movies by Michio Kaku. They are really fascinating, but it's like watching science-fiction movies which are mostly fiction than science.

This means that having the train moving at speed v with respect to the embankment is the same as having the embankment moving at speed -v with respect to the train and in both cases the relativity of simultaneity holds true.

This is only true if the 2 lightnings are happening further away from the train, A and A' don't overlap at the time of lightning, and same with B and B', not overlapping at the time of lightning. Then yes, M' would not see those in the same time. But that's easy to calculate, and M' is not in the middle by the time the lights reach to him. > > This means that having the train moving at speed v with respect to the > embankment is the same as having the embankment moving at speed -v with respect > to the train and in both cases the relativity of simultaneity holds true.

It’s all > > completely symmetric and from point of view of M’, he sees the flashes simultaneous. > > Be careful. It is symmetric. That doesn’t mean they see the same thing. Yes, if it’s absolutely symmetric, that means they would absolutely see the same thing. Let’s assume there are 2 very same looking trains instead of the embarkment and the train. In Einstein’s experiment M’ can tell the difference, because he sees the ground moving, trees moving etc. But if we have 2 exactly same looking trains moving and spark happens at their end when they are parallel, both M sitting in the 1st train and M’ sitting in the 2nd train would see the exact same thing. This is a contradiction for you if you expect M seeing simultaneous flashes and M’ not simultaneous: In that case M would think he is absolutely fix compared to anything moving around him, and anyone sitting on moving object would accept that he is absolutely fix. There is no absolute fix point in the Universe. Only M would think that he is in the center of the Universe, and everyone else around him would accept that. The truth is that everyone around him, on another planet moving compared to him could say the same thing. M can expect some aliens to come and call him primitive, because he thinks that he is in the center of the Universe. Thanks to Einstein’s theory of relativity. > What is means is that for a pair of events that M determined to be > simultaneous, M’ will determine those events to be nonsimultaneous; It is not what M’ determines. It’s what M determines about M’, thinking that he would see it that way, but that’s false. > and for another pair of events that M’ determined to be simultaneous, M will determine those events to be nonsimultaneous. No, again, because of the absolutely symmetric experiment, this is only what M’ determines about M, not M himself. > > > > >> If M trained a telescope on M', he will see one side of (M')'s face > >> being illuminated before the other. > >> M' will perceive one side being illuminated before the other. > > Yes, right, but this is M’s perspective (perspective of M not M’) > > We already talked about this. > > > >> M will see the flashes as being simultaneous. > >> If M' trained a telescope on M, he will see both sides of (M)'s face > >> being illuminated at the same time. > > No, this is very similar how you look from (M)’s perspective. I’ve just told you what it means for those who understand the gedanken. > Let’s assume there are 2 very same looking trains instead of the embarkment and the train. > In Einstein’s experiment M’ can tell the difference, because he sees the > ground moving, trees moving etc. And again, that means nothing other than there is a catalog of objects that are at rest relative to M and a different catalog of objects that are at rest relative to M’. If that’s distracting to you, then strip away all of those extranea, reducing it to two open platforms passing each other in empty space. And again remember that symmetry even in that case does not mean they see the same two events the same way. > But if we have 2 exactly same looking trains moving and spark happens at > their end when they are parallel, both M sitting in the 1st train and M’ > sitting in the 2nd train would see the exact same thing. > > This is a contradiction for you if you expect M seeing simultaneous > flashes and M’ not simultaneous: > In that case M would think he is absolutely fix compared to anything > moving around him, and anyone sitting on moving object would accept that > he is absolutely fix. Light from the right spark travels at c-v when view from M,
because the medium in the front of the compartment moves away from M.

Light from the right spark travels at c+v when viewed from M,
because the medium at the rear of the compartment moves towards M.

And so indeed does M'

Right

Right

NO! The change in distance traveled when viewing from one
frame to the other is exactly cancelled by the change in speed.
Simultaneous in one frame is simultaneous in all frames.

The Fizeau-type experiments disprove that to be c +/- v. Only if you pretend they struck simultaneously in the frame in which M' is stationary. Even Fizeau knew better than that. > The change in distance traveled when viewing from one frame to the other > is exactly cancelled by the change in speed. Assertions are not evidence. NASA's experience with space probes confirm that the effect of the "medium" in the solar system is too thin to have any noticeable effect on the speed of light. The LLR experiments also confirm this. > Simultaneous in one frame is simultaneous in all frames. Directly contradicted by experimental evidence.
