What I realize is that you view things mathematically instead of scientifically. Did you not admit that you did not know the meanings of many common *english* words ? Like zillions, paradox, see, observer, dogma, etc...? You *admitted* to be unaware of their meanings. And mostly everything you read, you do not comprehend the meaning of the words. And when we ask you find/present the definition of the word, you refuse to, and cite your own made up skewed definition. So no wonder you misunderstand everything and that no one understands you and that everyone disagrees with you. Try to be honest for a change & learn the meaning of the words, before discussing. I also asked you a few questions and you refused to answer. Here is one which needs to be answered: Why dont you enroll in a highschool/adults/college physics refresher course? Take a semester, and there you could go at your pace & ask the teacher questions & clarifications.

Dumb Cunt of the Lake wrote What I realize is that you view things mathematically instead of scientifically. So, even when you are not using mathematical equations, you are still viewing things as mathematical models and not as actual events in our real universe. Ed No Eduardo The Problem is you’re a Dumb Cunt Imbecile that refuses or can’t learn even basic physics. You really even fail to grasp basic Logic itself. Things like the electronic device you are using to make these Posts REQUIRE MATHEMATICAL PRECISION or they will simply fail to function at all. You’re a dumb annoying Stubborn CUNT.

Nature is not obligated to respect our common sense. Our common sense is quite often flat wrong and good physics instructors are talented at using frequent experimental demonstrations that defy common sense expectations precisely to develop in their students a healthy mistrust of their common sense. What rules in science is experimental results, not intuition. What the Ed Lakes of this world bitterly complain about is that challenge to their common sense. They object that if a claim “makes no sense” then it must be wrong. This is why showing them a direct observation is so important. Still, there are those like Ed Lake who will say, “But the observation makes NO SENSE so it must be physicist trickery, or it must be an illusion, or the observation is being misinterpreted!” Anything to avoid giving up on common sense. Because, you see, for the uneducated, common sense is all they have to work with. -- Odd Bodkin — Maker of fine toys, tools, tables

Special relativity makes perfect sense, so if someone says it "makes no sense", the correct response is to explain why it *does* make sense. In fact, it's *nearly* possible to deduce special (and even general) relativity with pure rational thought, appealing to almost no exotic experimental results at all. Some (poor) teachers delight in bewildering students by expressing the propositions of the theory in the weirdest possible way, and saying "Relativity is weird and wacky and makes no sense at all...but it's true!". That's idiotic. Special relativity and general relativity are entirely classical theories with perfectly objective models that make perfect sense (upn to singularities of course). There's a difference between "not making sense" and "violating common sense". The vague notion of "common sense" means different things tyo different people. Many people equate "common sense" with "rational sense", i.e., rational and logical thought. From that perspective, relativity does not violate common sense. Other people define "common sense" as any of a large number of expectations they may have. From that standpoint, any time they learn something new, it violates their common sense. Yes, special relativity discloses aspects of the world (such as the inertial of energy) that might not have been expected prior to its discovery. But to say it makes no sense is utterly wrong, and even to say it violates common sense is wrong, expect insofar as every advance in understanding does.

So how do you know > that if you have no checked how the subject is really teached? > There is a ridiculous amount of hubris in the Ed Lakes if the world who insist that what is taught should make intuitive sense and be consistent with their preconceptions or it is wrong. Ed’s complaint about what is taught is that he finds it hard to believe and therefore it is wrong, or that it is not consistent with his understanding of the world and therefore it is wrong. Ed’s contention is that if he just thinks about how the world must work then he will arrive at the right conclusion. The possibility that the world is really much different than he imagines is just not allowed as a possibility. And do if it is taught that the world operates differently than intuition would say, then the teaching is wrong and must be corrected. You're taking things out of context and twisting and distorting them. Teachers teach what is in textbooks and their tests are about what is read. Students have to understand what is in the textbooks if they want to pass the course. No one gives a damn if they agree with it or not. Einstein got bad grades and was considered to be a mediocre student because he was always arguing with his professors. He didn't accept what was in the textbooks and his teachers didn't like that. Ed

There is one thing you can do to improve the paper, and also improve all your writings around here: LEARN BASIC PHYSICS. Of course if you ever bothered to do this, you would realize that the entire paper is chock full of nonsense and is impossible to "improve". > I agree with Einstein. But he describes things in confusing ways. No. You READ in confusing ways. Before you can learn basic physics, you must first: LEARN HOW TO READ. Foremost in this effort, you must learn to READ WHAT IS WRITTEN, not adding your own nonsense and ascribing it to the author. Tom Roberts
