As you well know, Ralph, Einstein said light moved at c relative to all inertial frames, so that would mean that he would say light moved at c relative to its source (and its destination, obviously).

No, Ralph Malcolm Rabbidge, he is using YOUR brainless DirtyBaThWater to get light moving from the source at c+v and c-v, Ralph, thus violating both PoR's, Ralph Malcolm. Ralph, Einstein would never claim what you (Ralph Malcolm Rabbidge) claimed he claimed, Ralph, since Einstein explicitly believed that light moves at c in all frames.

Henry, Einstein would never claim what you > (HGW) claimed he claimed, HGW, since Einstein > explicitly believed that light moves at c in all frames. Wrong again, poor little mickey mouse moron.... The Einsteinian Sagnac explanation clearly requires that the rays leave the source at c+v and c-v relative to the source. BaTh says quite clearly that they both move at c relative to the source. If you want to prove your idiocy, just keep arguing in your usual inane fashion.... --

Carefully comparing "rayphases" with the "theory" that you have expounded in
http://www.scisite.info/wilsonsbath.html, I find that it does an EXCELLENT job
of explicating your explanation for Sagnac.
It's one of the best programs that you've ever written. Why do you denigrate
your own work? It clarifies enormously what otherwise is an extremely obscure
piece of writing.
In rayphases, you have drawn the constant wavelength oscillations radiating out
from the emission point "E" rather than from the moving source. In contrast, the
light is emitted from the moving source at c in both directions.
*** THE RESULT IS A COMPLETE MISHMASH ***
Rayphases is absolutely MARVELOUS in its ability to illustrate the depth of
your abysmal confusion. There is no better refutation of your explanation of
Sagnac than the program that you yourself wrote! Congratulations!
To paraphrase your comments about my simple extension of rayphases: "The author
of rayphases really did not have a clue about this. How could anyone be as
stupid as the author of rayphases?"

How could anyone be as > stupid as the author of rayphases?" I can understand your frustration. It must be very hard for a amateur like yourself to mentally image three motions at once. Sagnac is an exercise in Galilean space/time and is simply too hard for some people...the same kinds of people who would be gullible enough to worship the charlatan Einstein. Rayphases when interpreted properly is a perfectly good illustration of how the oppositely moving elements arriving at the detector have 'negotiated' different path lengths and therefore different numbers of wavelengths since they left the source. The oscillation of the leading edge is basically symbolic of the time dependence of the effect. That cannot be demonstrated in a static diagram like www.scisite.info/waves.jpg without a lot of imagination on the part of the viewer. > --

It took me about ten years to wake up to the truth. You on the other hand are just a raw beginner in Sagnac, so it is not surprising you are having difficulty understanding it. Now, this might help. At any fixed point in the inertial frame, the wave arrival rate is different in both directions. However, the receiver is not fixed and is moving at the same speed as the source...so the number of waves arriving in unit time is THE SAME from both directions...as it must be. The important point is that at any instant, the phases of the arriving waves is not the same as the (equal) phasing of the emitted rays because of the different numbers of waves that ALREADY exist in each path. --

You're trying to win the idiot-of-the-year award...! Well you're certainly right up there with the other favurites... In the source frame, a light pulse will radiate outward in a spherical shell. What else could it possibly do? > No sane theory of physics violates the principle of relativity the way that your > Sagnac analysis does. You do not even realize how incompatible your Sagnac > analysis is with your variable star luminosity explanation! > https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8XIf0XcrpOcTmVSTUl3cGlzc2s The emission point is NOT fixed in any absolute frame. It is fixed in the NON-ROTATING frame, which is used to analyze the process. You are misinterpreting this program. It is intended to illustrate how the path lengths contain different numbers of identical absolute wavelengths. Nothing is actually oscillating. It is difficult to illustrate the principle with a static diagram but this might help you: http://www.scisite.info/paths.jpg I stress that it is NOT a snapshot of a single instant and you must use a lot of imagination. The source/detector (yellow line) is rotating to the right. The blue ray moves anti-clockwise, the red clockwise and is shown in green after passing the emission point. Rotation speed about 0.3c. Note, the wavelengths are the same in both rays, which are moving at different speeds in the non-rotating frame. You should be able to now see how more red waves than blue enter the receiver during the transit of any particular wave. > https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8XIf0XcrpOcdzhsazFMZVo3cUE > > Like it or not, Henry, your Sagnac explanation depends on the existence of an > absolute frame and violates a fundamental principle of physics first expounded > by Galileo. You obviously do not understand what my Sagnac prediction is....even though it is very simple and straightforward as well as giving the right answer. --

There are, of course, discrepancies between what Henry writes in these posts versus what he has written in his Sagnac manifesto and has displayed in his rayphases simulation, so I always have to take what he says with a boulder of rock salt. His use of English language words is occasionally non-standard, as for example when he denies the applicability of the word "frequency" when describing light. He did, however write about my 2D interpretation of his rayphases model, "If anything, the bottom one represents the BaTh concept." Henry therefore affirms his belief that a circular pulse of light emitted from a moving point source shows different rates of phase change in different directions. This is as violent a disavowal of the principle of relativity as one can get, a principle that has been a central pillar of physics since Galileo. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8XIf0XcrpOcdzhsazFMZVo3cUE

No phase difference. Hahahaha! Oh dear! Paul still has not learned anything about light. IT IS NOT A SIMPLE OSCILLATOR. It does not even oscillate. It has a spatial pattern that somehow defines its wavelength. Therefore its phase is determined by number of wavelengths in each path and NOT by any aspect of TIME. > https://paulba.no/pdf/sagnac_ring.pdf > https://paulba.no/pdf/four_mirror_sagnac.pdf > https://paulba.no/FourMirrorSagnac.html all wrong.... > It is indeed a weird idea that you can count wavelength > along the path of a wave front! I don't count them, the interferometer does. That's how interferometers work you know....The only frequency' they count is the number of 'spatial wavelengths' arriving per second.. > Look at the simulation above. > There never are any waves along the paths! You poor fellow. You just cannot get anything right....I really do feel sorry for someone who is starting to realize that he has wasted his whole life chasing a myth. > --
