In relativity, relative motion is A CHANGE IN ORIENTATION in the spaceTIME manifold. Along the time dimension, "fitting" is temporal and is directly related to simultaneity. Your statement above uses "before" -- that is ORIENTATION DEPENDENT in relativity -- in this gedanken the relative motion will make the head of the rivet hit the wall before the bug is crushed IN THE FRAME OF BUG AND WALL.
