No idiot....-1.7E-8s is the time interval in the right to left direction from the origin of your coordinate system. Gee you are stupid.

No idiot.....there is no such thing as negative time. There is time in different directions from the origin of our coordinate system.

Haven't answered this question. What's Delta(5m/c) if (5m/c)=1.7E-8s?

It's your equation. Do you know how to use it? What's the number for
Delta(5m/c)?

Idiot look up what the word Delta mean in physics.

Idiot....so go and read some books what (5m/c) means. You want me to spoon feed you? That's not going to happen.

I know what (5m/c) means. It means 1.7E-8 seconds.
But books don't feature the equation
Delta(T')=gamma((Delta(5/c)-v*5/c^2))
They just don't. They feature the equation
t' = gamma*( t - vx/c^2 )
That is a Lorentz transformation equation.
There is no Delta anywhere in that equation.
The Delta is something YOU have added.
So since this is YOUR equation, not the equation in books, then YOU have
to show how to calculate Delta(5m/c).

Now, if you think the equation
Delta(T')=gamma((Delta(5/c)-v*5/c^2))
appears in books and you want me to look for it there, then point to the
book that points to that equation.

If you can't point to any book, and you can't calculate Delta(5m/c) in
your own equation, then you're going to have to admit (at least to
yourself) that your "theory" is chocked full of shit.

So that's what (5m/c) evaluates as, in terms of a number.
So you tell me, since it's your equation, what Delta(5m/c) is.

Fucking idiot.....Delta(5m/c) means an interval of time 1.7E-8 seconds.

So Delta(5m/c) = (5m/c)?

So it looks like this Delta term you added doesn't add any new
information. So why did you add it?

But only for left-to-right, correct?

Because for a time interval from right-to-left, you write Delta(-5m/c) =
-1.7E-8 seconds?

What happens if I'm not going left-to-right or right-to-left, but
front-to-back?

The only Lorentzian relation which uses differentials is the following, used in the transformation of velocities (see Landau and Lifshitz):

dx=gamma(dx'+vdt')

dt=gamma(dt'+(v/c^2)dx')

with gamma= 1/sqrt(1-v^2/c^2)

So 1.7E-8 second is a delta interval of time.

Yes it does.....read the text book Holliday and Resnick

Fucking idiot why does Delta(5m/c) need to be calculated? It is an interval time of 5m/c. Gee you are stupid.

So there's no difference in your mind between (5m/c), which you say is a
delta interval of time, and Delta(5m/c), which you say means exactly the
same thing. So why write the Delta?

So we'll go back to the original and REAL Lorentz transformation
equation which reads
t' = gamma(t-vx/c^2)
and you're once again saying that t and x are INTERVALS of time and
space and not positions?

I have that book. It's not in there. Care to cite the chapter and
section where this equation appears?

Be careful here, Ken. I don't want you to say something you THINK you
REMEMBER. You should CHECK first before spluttering something that isn't
true.

As an example of something you THINK you remember but don't really
remember, it may interest you that the author listing is not Holliday
and Resnick.

Look in the chapter on relativity.....I don't want to give you the page number because I want you to waste time looking it up.

It didn't take long, Ken. As I said, I have the book, and I just flipped
through the whole chapter and didn't find the equation you say was
there. So far, all you've made is a lie that made me take a whole 90
seconds to flip through the chapter to see if it's there. So do you get
a sense of satisfaction in lying to get me to spend 90 seconds looking
for something that isn't there?

Idiot....it's there. You didn't see it because you only took 90 seconds trying to find it. It is in a table called "The Lorentz Transformation Equations."

Ken, if there were a reason to write it down as Delta(5m/c) instead of
just (5m/c), it would come out with a different number. But you say it's
the same thing.

Here, I'll give you an example.
Suppose you were climbing a set of stairs from the second story to the
third story. When you started on the second story, your elevation h
above street level is 3.5 m. When you end up on the third story, your
elevation h above street level is now 7.2 m. What is Delta(h) here? Is
it 3.5 m? Is it 7.2 m?
