You are way more ignorant than you know. 'time' is well defined in physics, very well defined and clear. If you dont know this, then you have much reading and catching up to do. True, that most scientist dont know what the definition of time is, but that doesn't excuse *you* from reading and finding out. 'time' in an inertial frame is the value on a e-synched clock which is located at the event in question. The physically get/read time, this has an operational definition which uses instruments homologated by the standards bureaus. As suggested by Bod, read Taylor&Wheeler. There they do explain the definition of 'time' and a few more details. Go and READ because you are VERY IGNORANT. The more we discuss with you, the more we see how deeply ignorant and confused you are. You need to realize this instead of hiding in your fantasy world.

'time' is well defined in physics, very well defined and clear. Really? Ask your fellow idiot Jan, when an object will cross the event horizon... Of course, your non existing black holes are not the only place, where your moronic definitions (of time and related) are practically useless.

I know all about the different times in S' at different coordinates, etc., according to the Lorentz equations. It is all very entertaining, but does not answer the question, Why doesn't the slower clock indicate a faster time between frames of reference. That is what reality shows. If there is a slower clock, then the time of that clock results in a faster speed between frames of reference.

At first glance, yes. But if you dig deeper, and do the math correctly, you will see that that is not the case.

t/gamma means nothing in the Galilean transformation equations.
(t2)'=(t-vt/c).
x' = x - (v2)(t2)'
y'=y
z'=z
(t2)' = (t2)
(t2)' is the time of the clock that has light traveling at c in S'.
