That question brings out the fact that
Divergent Matter has many more possible
interactions, each that has physical values
to be obtained in experiments.
Classical gravity theories may have
a single formula used for all processes,
and GR has more, but still does not use
the more detailed equations to sort out
all of the possible results.

Equations are not needed unless the
model is formalized.
I have no need to try to formalize it,
if somebody else does, fine.

Nobody has tested the right things,
that is what another proponent of expanding
matter gravity has been trying to get across.

There is no way to know about gold
and platinum and a couple of other elements,
but it is certainly not all uranium.

And, is it not compressible? Alan Copperman,
who was in the scifi club with us had the theory and
hope that rocket fuel could be compressed some
way to be ultra-dense, but that hasn't happened.

But why is iron compressible, and they are not,
the gas giants have a lot more mass.

No experiments have been done to see,
all are focused on obtaining a quantitative result,
and none to compare Divergent Matter.
>> [Yammering crap deleted]
You should have deleted your nothing
responses, just the fact that even asteroids
do have little moons shows that expanding
matter is a viable (but outside experience)
theory.
The PoE carries weight because it
means that inertia is the only possible
forces acting between objects, that
force can be measured, the "falling"
objects have no forces acting, and
that requires rationality deniers to
fabricate non-existent fictitious forces
to explain the falling, and then become
surprised that all things fall equally,
what a coincidence that is, two forces
having exactly the same value.

So you want to force those electrons into the nucleus? Neutron stars do that (contrary to the dictates of DuMb). If the earth's core is made of mostly iron, then it has been compressed to about twice its normal density. Properties of matter under high temperature and pressure is an ongoing field of study, and there is some evidence that it can be. http://electronicsandbooks.com/eab1/manual/Magazine/J/Journal%20of%20Chemical%20&%20Engineering%20Data/56/je1010483.pdf > > > I don't know, but it seems odd, and the only thing the average density > > > of the giant gas planets is based on is the Newtonian formulas. > > > > See? you're FIXATED on Newtonian thinking. Not a coincidence at all. GR explains it by curved space-time and quantum gravity explains it by the hypothetical graviton, which is actually less hypothetical than the ASSumption that e/m forces in neutral matter cause it to expand. Now THAT is irrational.

Being you don't seem to understand much
about Divergent Matter, I don't think you are
qualified to judge.
In fact, the extra details that Divergent Matter
can reveal are badly needed.

No, I have no idea what the experiments will show,
all I can do is try to think of what the model says they
should show. But I could be wrong about any of them.

Or have exploded Billions of years ago.
I didn't see the 50% there before, but will not
bother to check, the thing is, the core would
have to be nearly all gold or platinum to be
anywhere near a density of 20.

I don't know where you got the "twice" idea,
that forces me to check the normal density of iron.
http://education.jlab.org/itselemental/ele026.html
"Twice" doesn't do it.

The experiments that have been done assume
that gravity is an attraction, I don't know of any that
necessarily rule out any mechanism as the cause
of gravity.

It has just as much as Newton or GR,
if the math is done properly.
The essential thing is to do the math
that will show what the values are in terms
of the starting units.
In every case of your "refutations", you
failed to do that, assuming things like the
surface of the Earth would be moving upward
at millions of miles per hour.

The fact of the matter is, the difficulty
in devising an experiment that confirms that
matter is not expanding, prevents knowing
for sure that matter is not expanding.
That is the crux of the puzzle of gravitation,
even knowing how to perform the right experiments.
That is why I started the thread about a very
serious gravity buff, he has spent a lot of effort
in trying to get the right experiments done, even
spending a lot of money on equipment.

Completely false assertion. Such experiments have been made numerous times. DuMb cannot explain why g is lower on top of mountains than it is at sea level. DuMb's "explanation" would have to say that the sea level rocks are expanding faster than the mountaintop rocks, but everyone knows that this is false. And your arm-waving bullshit about acceleration not being linked to velocity is tantamount to saying 2 + 2 + 5. > That is the crux of the puzzle of gravitation, > even knowing how to perform the right experiments. Evidently because I criticize your DuMb. You have a bad case of prejudice.

You are goofy, nuttier than a fruitcake,
I have written millions of words over the years,
and quite a few people have actually discussed
the particulars with me, instead of just making
definitive statements as if they knew all about
gravity, how it works, and what all of the effects
are, and how they arise.

I saw your statement about the maximum density
of the core being in the 12 -13.5 range and started
checking.
I know I have a book that says it is near 19 or 20
near the center of the core.
So, until I can find that book, or find a reference
that implicitly says the density at the center, rather
than possible average density maximum of the
whole core is, I will not say any more.

What makes you think that the light gases don't compress? The Sun, for example, is 98% hydrogen and helium, and every other element is contained in the remaining 2%. We can read about the core here... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_core ... and learn that the density at the center 3.84 trillion psi. Clearly the light gases can be compressed a great deal. The same thing happens in the cores of the gas giants, only not to such a degree because their mass is so much smaller than the Sun's. The pressure near Jupiter's core is is believed to be 3,000 to 4,500 Gpa... http://www.universetoday.com/47966/jupiters-core/ ... and this calculator... https://www.translatorscafe.com/cafe/EN/units-converter/pressure/5-20/gigapascal-newton%2Fmillimeter%C2%B2/ ... tell us that this (using the 3,000 figure) is 4.35 X 10^8 PSI, a unit I chose because we can all relate to it. A lot less than the pressure at the center of the Sun, but still a great deal of pressure. Hydrogen at this pressure (and the accompanying temperature) in no longer molecular, but is instead degenerate. How does DuMb go about explaining degenerate hydrogen, or any plasma for that matter?

Neptune has 17 times the mass of the earth
(derived using Newtonian formulas), why doesn't
that much mass compress the gases to greater
than the density of water?
>How does DuMb go about explaining degenerate hydrogen, or any plasma for that matter?
Thermodynamics and chemistry and even SR
must be associated with the Divergent Matter model,
maybe I will get around to looking for the particulars.

Check it out... http://nssdc.gsfc.nasa.gov/planetary/factsheet/neptunefact.html ... it is a GAS giant! It's density is less than 1/4 of the Earth's!

I was thinking of the density of Saturn,
but wrote Neptune. :-)

Isn't water 1000 kg/m^3?
And with mass a lot more than Earth,
they don't seem to compress gases as
much as the less massive Earth (according
to Newtonian gravitation).

I think you need a quick lesson on thermodynamics. The stuff in gas giants is well above critical point, so there is no phase change between liquid and gas. And these planets do have solid cores. -- Odd Bodkin --- maker of fine toys, tools, tables

You seem to be of the belief the vacuum of spacetime is an infinite void that is completely separate from energy and mass, this void can and does and would exist happily without any ill effects if absolutely no matter or energy was in existence.
I believe the exact opposite of that, meaning .,,
Mass and energy are a direct product of spacetime. Mass and energy are created from spacetime. And matter and energy are right now being extruded off of the "Back Side" of an event horizon in excess of the speed of light.
This "void" is an illusion, a mirage.
Quantum entanglement of particles is due to the fact the the particles are still in direct contact with the surface of horizon they were Spawned from. And that surface is "Time" itself.
As see some one has already smacked you on the head with pound-rebka about light leaving a gravity well I feel no need.

Fuller, the science in your contributions is
so lacking in understanding, they don't warrant
a comment. Blueshift is caused by relative
velocity, and entanglement does not extend
to long distances in the precise tapered gradient
that is seen in gravitation.
Your posting numbers both impresses me,
and causes me frustration, they usually seem
totally meaningless because you don't explain.

Sorry, Fuller, I just wanted to let you know
that I delete your posts, Gogo's and Starman's
without reading them, and why.

Sorry, Fuller, I just wanted to let you know that I delete your posts, Gogo's and Starman's without reading them, and why. Well as long as you are making my thread so popular ...... A lower impedance of vacuum , less than (4pi*(c/1000000)) causes symptoms of gravity and red shifting of photons. And a higher impedance of vacuum, greater than (4 * pi*(c/10000000)) causes blue shifting and elevated CMBR A lower vacuum impedance automatically dilates time to bring the speed of light back up to 299792458 m/s And it seems very interesting that the CMBR is very nearly (299792458 * sqrt (3/4) *2pi), kinda like black holes are black because light is redshifted below 2pi Hz, to low to interact with the CMBR The speed of light adjusts to and follows the impedance
