For my amusement in recent months I've been noting examples that may be useful for a study. patdolan 10 June 2023: Legion, you have obviously lost a lot of sleep and put in a lot of effort thinking about my beautiful, inescapable and ineluctable Big Ben Paradox--the crowning achievement of my life. patdolan 13 June 2023: I am the greatest relativist that Seattle has ever produced. Androcles Ghost 14 June 2023: When are you going to wake up to the fact that the whole of modern physics is wrong because of Einstein. All your big words are nonsense. Laurence Clark Crossen 15 June 2023: In my opinion, physics indicates that the speed of light shares the velocity of the source, as in ballistics. Victorino Schwarzenberg 1 July 2023: Compared with me, the Einstine was a kindergarten child. Richard Hertz 30 June 2023: I don't deny the advances in solid state physics and quantum mechanics, which have help chemistry, metallurgy and other fields tremendously. But I think that particle physics is a sterile science. You can't get the truth of nature by smashing particles into bits and try to figure out how the parts worked together (Heisenberg, circa 1965). These result escalated into new theories, like Gell-Mann QCD, which stuck physics for 60 years and counting. Crackpotterry is found everywhere. Not just amongst critics of relativity. Take the oft used crackpot claim started by DeSitter that light under emission theory “piles up” as it travels to earth from its source in the double star system. And seeing as this “piling up” isn’t observed, a classical emission model is refuted. This claim ignores the facts that emission theory posits that light propagates at c always and only in the source frame, that Ritz’s undulatory model specifically states that light is a wave, the aether can be disposed of and that light propagates at c always in this source frame. And that light travelling at c in the source frame has been experimentally confirmed by the Michelson Morley experiment. So let’s double check desitters bad maths. (And the falsified simulations published on wiki showing how emission theory supposedly predicts light will pile up on arrival to earth.) A good way to confirm or refute this crackpot claim is by checking to see if this happens in any calculation of lightspeed for emission by using the source frame instead of the earth observer frame. Where the earth rotates and the source doesn’t. After all it is the source frame that emission theory predicts light will travel at a constant c only in. Not the moving observer frame Now shine a light from the static source towards the moving earth. Does the light pile up? No, it doesn’t. That is unless you’re a crackpot.

And if you think I’m wrong about deSitter then show me the maths. How does a light beam travelling at a constant c relative to the source (as per emission theory) arrive bunched up in the observer frame when it arrives at the observer on earth? The earth observer who incidentally is rotating relative to the source. Any crackpot explanation Ive seen basically ignores the fact that emission theory explicitly states light always travels at a constant c in the source frame. And instead the crackpot changes the rules, pretends emission theory posits that light travels at a variable speed in the source frame, 😂, to ensure that their crackpot calculation results in the constant c+-v in the earth observer frame. And then bunches up. Of course it bunches up in this scenario That’s because the crackpot couldnt do the maths. Or deliberately made the maths incorrect to justify their fantasy that emission theory was ruled out in deSitters crackpot example.
