Sounds like the second postulate is asserting constant speed of light... Or doesn't it? Of course, as your idiot guru "discovered" later - it's only in inertial systems. I.e. nowhere.

Part of the SR paper was to show it's also true for all (inertial) systems of coordinates.

There exist axiomatic formalisms of SRT (I have also made my own one:) that build upon much more intuitive axioms, and get the constancy of light speed as a free result, as a theorem, rather than having to impose it as a counterintuitive postulate.
