Cretin. Gold is used everywhere nowadays, silver nowhere. And copper is
less corrosive than silver. Pure silver let alone corrodes in a matter of
hours, then its electrical characteristics degrades rapidly jeopardising
all circuitry, especially HF. You and your friend Sylvia are uneducated
cretins. Dr. Garfield is consistent in his treatise.

very little use in electronics, too expensive.

Wrong.

serg idiot, all PCBs tracks, vias, pads etc are in gold. Even your OLD
defect logic/motherboard is worth at least $50+ in gold. All my PCBs are
plated in gold. Please shut up.

PC boards are solder plated (an alloy! Duh!) Only fingers of edge
connectors are gold plated for corrosion resistance. Winfred is the
worst kind of moron. The thinks that the louder you talk the more

You can not plate solder.

PC boards are covered by dipping them in molten solder which sticks to
the copper.

its called wave soldering, most everybody does it. I knew a guy that
tried to grab a board that sank into the wave, and dipped his hand in
it, pulled it out real fast but he had burns.

Gold plating is also avoided due to the chemicals needed to support that
process, a while back the EPA put the chomp on many of them,

That and gold is $1,233.40 an ounce while tin is about $9.00 a pound.

Chimp as usual shows his ignorance of all things technical. When contact
fingers are not gold plated they are solder plated. And yes, I used to
have two 5 gallon containers of one each lead fluoroborate and Tin
Fluoroborate which are the two main chemicals for solder plating.
Luckily I sold them before the EPA put the chomp on me.

The troll continues to seek attention, starting with an ad hominem.

The only thing the troll has ever posted worth reading:

"Sorry, Looperji, but while I do love to troll and lie"

Chimp is right on the money again. I actually was lying when I said he
said something that was right.
