All these reasons are plausible and I am sure many of us would accept that they happen. Did you see what happened to the faster than light neutrino experiment? They called a panel and publicly humiliated the experimenters after they retracted the results. So don't do it again.

Reason (4) I am not so sure is valid, after all there are many theories out there.

Cranks always say that, it's their beloved little dream, fabricated in order
to maintain their ego. This fabrication BTW betrays at once that you've never
been anywhere near real academic/scientific workplace.

So here is what happens in the real world:

1. "Embarrassment"
No. The reason is simply that scientists get TONS of pure gobbledygook
(like yours) 24/7 and it's simply impossible to address the errors, even
assuming the cranks would ever admit making a mistake (which is something
they NEVER EVER do - another trait absent in real science).

2. "Don’t rock the gravy boat"
That's the standard Hollywood line. The truth again is that the first
person to disprove some major physics theory will get showered by both
prizes and excellent job offers from all over the world. There is no
"gravy" is frantic maintaining the status quo.

3. "Money"
See above. The real money is in DISPROVING the status quo, not in
maintaining it. This is something cranks cannot comprehend for some
reason.

4. "Afraid that it will catch on and spread like wild fire"
A typical crank ego-booster again. They are not "afraid" of anything
like that because they KNOW it's all crank-junk. There is no need to
spend even a fraction of a second on any "defense". Keep in mind that
the ONLY reason some people who do know their stuff post here in the
first place is not "defending" anything but simply ENTERTAINMENT.

Above is basically scientist propaganda in the same class as journalists
boldly declaring how honest they are and how much integrity they all
have while lying their asses off to get a "good story'. Scientists never
admit mistakes. IF they can they try to cover them up (like killing
papers pointing them out) and ef eventually backed into a corner where
the mistake cannot be denied they simply switch their opinions 180
degrees and swear they NEVER said the old way and "
everybody knows" the new way is right! Mistake simply disappears.

Obviously there is science and then there is science politics.
Discovering some new thing (say cold fusion) will just get denial and
resistance. Even with tenure chances of getting fired are excellent.
Only new discovoceries allowed without a fight are empty spots in
handbook tables.

Even worse is political based science. Like say "global warming". IF you
aren't ready to support the politics then the gravy train gets cut off.
If course supporting some political agenda goes totally against what
science is about, but money are career say it all.

> 3. "Money"

Nonsense. There is NO money in disproving the accepted status quo.
People reward support from others. The further your agenda from reality
the greater that support is worth. Support the "right" politics
(warming, gun control, you name it) and big salaries are easy. Spout
truth and you are out on the street simple as that.

Nothing "catches on" and "spreads like wildfire". That is a given. All
things that SEEM to catch on and spread "on their own" are in fact,
carefully controlled and promoted to achieve various political ends from
behind the scenes. If you aren't an insider, and part of the plans, then
your ideas are going nowhere. Trust me.

You are a mathematicians you are not qualified to evaluate physical theories.....you made up stuff like extra dimensions to explain the physical world.

That’s baloney......most of the so call physicists post here have plenty of time and that’s why they post here.

It is not necessary to disprove some major theory....in Chapter 5 of my book I showed the result of the following past experiments can be interpreted as the result of absolute motion.
1. The photoelectric experiment.
2. The Compton shift experiment.
3. The Double slit experiment.

Sure....you get pay for maintaining it. You don’t get pay by saying that there is no extra dimension.

Yes they are afraid. How do you know it’s all crank-junk? You mathematicians are all cranks and you force the publics to accept your crank belief that there are extra dimensions of space.

No wonder you failed the Mars Lander mission.....failed to convert English unit to Metric unit. You should give the government back all the salary you received.

Go to the link fqxi.org....
1. click on to the 2014 essay contest.
2. click on to find author by last name (seto).
3. find my essay entitled “The Future Development of Theoretical Physics and Cosmology”
4. You will find some favorite comments on my theory.
5. There are other favorite comments on my theory in different essays.

Will have a look. This FXQI has some heavyweights on its advisory board:

John Barrow, Professor of Mathematical Sciences, Cambridge University
Barrow's research interests are cosmology, the foundations of physics, gravitational and particle physics. Barrow has written a number of popular books on these topics.

Nick Bostrom, Director, Oxford Future of Humanity Institute, Oxford University
Bostrom's research interests are philosophy of science, ethics, transhumanism, and probability theory.

Gregory Chaitin, Researcher, IBM T. J. Watson Research Center
Chaitin's research interests include physical and mathematical complexity, algorithmic information theory, metamathematics, and philosophy of science.

David Chalmers, Director, Centre for Consciousness & Professor of Philosophy, Australian National University
Chalmers' research interests include the philosophy of mind, cognitive science, and the foundations of physics.

Patricia M. Gruber, President, Peter and Patricia Gruber Foundation
Previously a psychotherapist in private practice in California, she now devotes herself full time to the Foundation, which she has guided since its inception in 1993, and has been its full-time president since 2000.

Alan Guth, Professor of Physics, MIT
Guth's research interests are cosmology and particle physics, especially inflationary theory.

I will just have to read it and see. The sections on the history of science are intelligible to me at least.

There are a lot of theories out there. I can only point out that some thought experiments used to support relativity seem to be inconsistent, incongruous even.

We all live within out knowledge space, it's all "as far as I know". I may be too much to hope that mathematics would form a solid platform for us to test ideas, but not so. Mathematics seems to be manipulated.

Ken only wanted people to read his book, and comment, that seems a reasonable request to make. Right or wrong, reading alternative theories serves to stimulate the brain.

Where are all your books? It would be nice to see a book on Ballistic Ether Theory, as I mentioned, Henry has helped me analyse light ray concepts, how an angled light ray travels etc.

He started taking his meds, and realised that his theory was nonsense.

He also realised that yours is and, given his medical history, decided
that it was unsafe for him to continue to be exposed to you, and left
the group accordingly.
