SubjectEinstein’s riddle, only 2% of the world’s population is able to solve
Message-ID<mu4acr$562$1@speranza.aioe.org>
There are 5 houses in 5 different colors in a row. In each house lives a
person with a different nationality. The 5 owners drink a certain type of
beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar, and keep a certain pet. No
owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar, or drink the same
beverage. Other facts:

1. The Brit lives in the red house.
2. The Swede keeps dogs as pets.
3. The Dane drinks tea.
4. The green house is on the immediate left of the white house.
5. The green house's owner drinks coffee.
6. The owner who smokes Pall Mall rears birds.
7. The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill.
8. The owner living in the center house drinks milk.
9. The Norwegian lives in the first house.
10. The owner who smokes Blends lives next to the one who keeps cats.
11. The owner who keeps the horse lives next to the one who smokes Dunhill.
12. The owner who smokes Bluemasters drinks beer.
13. The German smokes Prince.
14. The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.
15. The owner who smokes Blends lives next to the one who drinks water.

The question is: WHO OWNS THE FISH?

.2 chance for that, so even guessing randomly, those 2% should extend to
20 according to the Divergent Matter Model. Just another right prediction.

Actually this seems to be true. How did you got it that fast? Imperative/

Just logic, no real math involved... but I can tell you that I've done hundreds of this type of logic puzzle over the last 50 or 60 years, and after a while they get a lot easier... my favorite book is "The Big Book of Puzzles". :>)

Bullshit, you cant do it mentally, without recursive permutations and
truth table. As suspected, you are a liar, mister.

I never said I did it only mentally... but I would never claim that it would be impossible to do so. I'm sure that many folks have the mental wherewith-all to do this.

I made a grid and filled in the answers as they presented themselves, via the clues. This is not brain surgery, just logic.

By the way, fuck you for calling me a liar. I suspect that you are an asshole...

Indeed. Looks like only you and I had courage to give an answer. All others just remained off topic and cried. Very encouraging...

I was ignoring the name changing troll,

What you, liar hypocrite. He came up with a guess. I was first coming up
with the proper solution. Take a look at the branch of the thread.

If he pnalsing comes up with details description, then he must be the
first. But he doesnt.

Now you change your story, you are STILL a liar! You let it as you just
used your "logic".

> I made a grid and filled in the answers as they presented themselves,

Then show your "grid", idiot. It requires more than your "grid", as said
recursive permutation and such. Unless you have a short-cut of course,
which you dont have, as it was not presented from the very beginning.

> By the way, fuck you for calling me a liar. I suspect that you are an

No thanks, I'm not that pretty. You are still a liar, till you show your
procedure. You rather got your guess from somewhere else.

Amazing so many coming up claiming they solved the problem AFTER ME coming
with it FIRST.

Show your tensors, if your want to be first, or shut up and admit your
defeat. If you do that I would admit that you solved the problem first.
All the others does not count to anything. Is just ME and you, pnalsing!!

This is the book (1971) to read for that sort of thing (and MUCH more), unfortunately it
has never been translated to English. It's a translation from Hungarian:

http://www.amazon.de/Logik-macht-Spass-Aufgaben-L%C3%B6sungen/dp/3121683705/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1443232060&sr=1-1&keywords=bizam

BTW: lots of good books remain untranslated to English or are available only
in shortened versions - long story...

How do you know it? Any other free direct links?

Since there is no stated fact to the effect that there exists a fish
that is owned by someone, the question cannot be answered without making
an assumption.
