Never said or thought that Maybe this is a US thing? I recently watched a few amateur shot videos of incidents at sea on cruise ships such as ships colliding in heavy weather in ports and found the constant screams of the US passengers shouting 'Oh mahrr gaaawd' in their horridly irritiating US accents most anoying. Their big fat loud mouthed ugly women seem to be the worst offenders in that regard. The less refined English youth would probably say 'fucking 'ell' and take another swig from the bottle. The French do things differently. I was once given far too much change in a French cafe in Paris. I could not speak French so found it difficult to explain the change was wrong. At first the waitor was a little impatient but when he checked (as much to humour me) and the penny dropped (well Franc back then) he just said 'merde' (murder) I now tend to say 'merde' when I see something bad :-) If a fairly mild thing (say I dropped something) I am more likely to say 'fiddlesticks' or, if on my own 'fuck' or perhaps call myself a 'stupid prat'. What is a 'prat' do you catch mackrels with them - must look up what a prat is :-) ? Are there sensible prats perhaps or are they all stupid? Hmm the Urban dictionary defines 'prat' as "a clueless person of arrogant stupidity" of which I know of one or two who post here (no names no pack drills) but it is the origin of the word I am interested in. -- Les Hellawell Greetings from YORKSHIRE The White Rose County "Faith must trample under foot all reason, sense, and understanding". Martin Luther This means that if Luther practised what he preached nothing he ever said makes any sense

An atheist is a person who doubts that God exists, but feels no need to kill people who hold a different view. Sylvia.

Yes it happened. Anne Drool's usual deliberate nastiness - he knows perfectly well that atheism is a non-event because all it is, is a description saying that we _don't_ do something - not that we do. We've been through this regularly with the in-your-face, proven, serial Liar For God. Atheism neither motivates nor justifies anything at all, because it is no different from nor watching baseball, not collecting stamps, not speaking Swahili, or anything else we don't do. No matter how many psychopathic, deliberately nasty Christians lie about us, to our faces. >> Andrew > >Psychopaths kill people. Some of them are atheists. > >Sylvia. Dictators do what dictators do - however if they are atheists, they are absent the biggest motivation and justification theists have.
