Maciej,

Yes.
Because GPS engineers deliberately make them do so.
Your argument has now become:
"The correction works, therefore the effect it corrects is false."
At least you're consistent.
Consistently subtracting 38 and then forgetting the subtraction.

Maciej,
Indeed. Clocks require engineering.
And yet, strangely, engineering still needs physics to calculate HOW
they will run.
For GPS:
Relativity: 38 us/day.
Maciej: "engineers do stuff."
Another triumph of common sense.

It just somehow knows to compensate by 38 us/day. Presumably "common sense" whispers the number into the oscillator.

How would they know that from your mad religion asserting that no compensation is required because it's proper and correct and perfect without? And - is there any problem with - simply - measuring that when clocks are already on the orbit?

None whatsoever.
That's essentially what they did with NTS-2 in 1977.
They left the relativistic frequency correction OFF for about 20 days
and measured:
Relativity predicted: +446.5 x 10^-12
Measured: +442.5 x 10^-12
Then the correction was switched on.
So your brilliant proposal to "just measure it in orbit" was actually
performed 49 years ago.
And it confirmed relativity to about 1%.
You have accidentally proposed the experiment that refutes you.
This also reminds me of Calvin asking his father how engineers determine
the maximum load of a bridge. His father's explanation is, in essence:
Drive heavier and heavier trucks over the bridge
until it collapses. Then weigh the last truck
and rebuild the bridge.
Calvin: "Oh. I should've guessed."
Fortunately, GPS engineers had the relativistic prediction BEFORE
launching the satellite.
Calvin's father would be proud.

And the measurement?
predicted: +446.5 x 10^-12
measured: +442.5 x 10^-12
You suggested measuring it in orbit.
They did.
It confirmed relativity.
So naturally you've changed the subject back to "perfect clocks".

You proposed the experiment.
It was done.
predicted: +446.5 x 10^-12
measured: +442.5 x 10^-12
Your response to a 1% agreement is now:
"But PERFECT CLOCKS!!!"
That's not a rebuttal.
That's running away from your own experiment while shouting.

Your exact words were:
"is there any problem with - simply -
measuring that when clocks are already on
the orbit?"
That's exactly what NTS-2 did.
So yes, you did propose it. The archive is less forgetful than you are.
> unusable for serious measurements GPS was starting to perform.
Even better: the measured effect was then COMPENSATED, and atomic clocks
became the timing basis of GPS.
So your "worthless junk" was:
predicted by relativity,
measured in orbit,
compensated as predicted,
and then used by GPS.
Quite a career for worthless junk.

I've proposed "it", not any experiment, I'm not interested in your moronic liturgy at all. "Measured" time dilation never existed, it was just a clock error. Sorry, poor piece of shit.

Maciej,

Yes.
And by what value?
predicted BEFORE measurement: +446.5 x 10^-12
measured in orbit: +442.5 x 10^-12
compensation: the predicted relativistic offset
So your "clock error" just happened to have the magnitude and sign
calculated by relativity before anyone measured it.
What an extraordinarily well-informed error.

Yet:
relativity BEFORE launch: +446.5 x 10^-12
measurement in orbit: +442.5 x 10^-12
Calling the second number a "clock error" does not magically erase the
first.
Your alleged error reproduced the relativistic prediction to about 1%.
Quite a coincidence.
Especially since your t'=t predicted 0.

This is now pure word magic.
Relativity predicted:
+446.5 x 10^-12
They put the clock in orbit and measured:
+442.5 x 10^-12
You rename the measured quantity "clock error" and declare that
relativity measured 0.
Renaming a measurement doesn't change its value.
Your t'=t predicted 0.
The clock gave 442.5.
Game over.
