if there was a soup of matter how did it form galaxies and their stars?
The universe had to start that way with original conditions... the order of galaxies and their stars... with first atoms order already arranged in those two larger forms.

galaxies were formed to keep stars from crowding each other, so they were divided into ...star communities. 


each galaxie has it's own zipcode.


you see what happens when a black hole moves in....there goes the neighborhood.

How does a single original universal soup of matter separate into galaxies
with much space in between? How then do stars do the same thing in galaxies?
Cosmologically galaxies and their stars had to form whole.

But how from the soup?

It kind of seems like the denser aspects of the mass in the "soup" 
created some "eddy" like formations, that ended up forming very large 
star factories. They burn hot and have short lives, eventually going 
hypernova and ending up creating super clusters of quasars. Comprised of 
crazy ultra massive black holes eating everything they can influence, 
including other black holes, a total feeding frenzy pig fest. These 
finally settled down a bit due to some lack of food and created some 
widely different classes of galaxies.

The dust lanes of a galaxy should have smaller "wandering" black holes 
roaming about. I wonder if these small BH's are somehow "connected" to 
the giant massive one in the center.

Imvvvho, there probably are child universes contained within our black 
hole at the center of the Milky Way.

After all, we are contained within a BH residing within our parent 
universe...
