From my perspective...this is what Usenet looks to me:

http://frontdoorsnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/Bee-Hives.jpg

I can hear the buzz in all the newsgroups...

In other words..
Usenet is a man made beehive.

All I hear is buzzing..

you
mr.
bee
are
trapped
in
a
honeycomb.

if
you
go
to
newsgroup
to
newsgroup
a
pattern
emerges..

you
got
the
spelling
bees

you
got
the
queen
bee..

You don't hear the buzzing?? ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Well, if you would attach a...microphone to all the Usenet groups..a microphone that converts text to speech, if you will..
what would you hear????

You can fine tune it to hear one bee or all the bees in a newsgroup....or
you can turn it all the way up and hear all the 100,000 newsgroups at the same time.

I hear a lot of....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

You people make a lot of noise....and all it is is noise.

Lucky I speak bee.

Another pattern that emerges in these usenet beehives catacombs are the bees offering medications and medical advice.
I call them the Doctor Bees. There is one in every newsgroup.

That is a photo of your brain on drugs...

drugged insects moving bits of your memory from cell to cell in random
incohearent fashion, while buzzing all the time, filling up you
conscience mind with internal thoughts of insects.

Now, You are a bee brain.

Beebrainitis (BB) is more organized than Batshitcrazyitis (BSC) , you
should be very proud of that. BB is more focused and resolves much
faster than BSC. Instead of years as BSC, you can do weeks as BB, before
your transitioned into a safe place for you. With BSC you may get a job
in the Democratic party for life.

Well, in a way...

Actually the UseNet is a technical system, meant for discussion on
certain subjects by electronic means.

So it's quite unlikely you hear something.

But in a metaphorical way you could say, that participants are just
'humming in a beehive'.

Yes, somehow... But that's slightly too poetic for my taste.
