However, he was persuaded by Leo Szilard, Edward Teller and Eugene
Wigner (of Wigner energy fame) who were recent refugees, to make the
US government aware that Germany was working on it.

Just look at the arguments atheists use against theists; a theist
wouldn't demolish his own position the way atheists here regularly
demolish the theists that infest alt.atheism.

Being atheist does not involve religion hence no churches

We do have a growing Sunday Assembly movement though which tend to
meet in redundant churches on Sundays. 

The press dubbed them 'Atheist churches' but that is typical press
inaccuracy given that not all the atheist there call themselves
atheists

What is to learn about not being a theist? It is theism that has to be
learned usually by parental indoctrination when children a too young
to understand they are being conned.

Nobody is born a theist, and I never saw any reason to become one

It is theism that is different especially now that those who actually
practise Christianity are now a minority here in the UK and
many parts of Europe. (All the other relgions put together are
a tiny number)

I am currently reading 'Post Captain' a historical novel by Patrick O'
Brian and 'England under the Stuarts' part of series on the History
of England.

Yep we have more than enough newsgroups with all the religious groups.
Some theists are so confused they are actually subscribed to an
atheist group and post religion there.

Sorry cannot help you there. I know I am not a theist (where 'not a
theist' is more usually abbreviated to 'atheist' using the standard
prefix qualifier a-) but whether you know I am not theist is no
concern of mine. If you choose not to accept my word I am not
a theist I will not
