that we really don't believe in God.

So it's not enough for you to imagine that God exists  -- without
evidence to support the idea. 

 Now you've decided to imagine -- without evidence to support your

So I was just pointing out that theist irrationality is not limited to
their ideas about God; this irrationality also turns up in their

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.  But in fact, there IS
evidence that some part of us exists after death.  Take for example, the

I had an atheist friend who claimed that atheists must do an extensive,
comprehensive STUDY before they can become an atheist.

The problem with this is that it is impossible to KNOW that one has done
a sufficient study, and I think that most so-called atheists have not
made a comprehensive study.  And what we have learned about the universe
since that time expands the field of study immensely.

All we have are our assumptions.  I have mine and you have yours.  As a
scientist, however, I must continually test my assumptions against what is
known about the universe.  First, before we can even converse about God,
we have to understand what we mean by that:  what is our definition of God?
Again, I have my definition and you have yours.  The God you claim doesn't
exist may not have any bearing on "my" God.

I don't even know what one of these god things are supposed to be. The
theist can tell us nothing that is not just their own invented
beliefs.  I have asked several theists to explain how they know there
is such a thing (whatever one of them are supposed to be)
in a way we can check and verify for ourselves but they never attempt
a sensible answer and obviously will not want to admit they just
simply accepted there was one just on the say-so of another perhaps
when still still childer trusting of their parents. People with
relgion alway have the religion of their parents indicating no
knowledge of a god for themsleves otherwise their relgion might
be different from their parents
