   Perhaps your question is: Are gravitational waves in specific
   circumstances other than spherical?  Check your general relativity
   textbooks.

How did we detect a change smaller than an atomic nucleus?
That is an impossible claim. What nucleus did we use to detect that?
It is more reasonable that we can't do that.

Observing an interference pattern of two light waves that produce no 
interference pattern when there is no (extra) strain.  Since none of the
