There are other things out there bigger than Pluto.  If you let Pluto
in, you need to count the other big KBOs, too.

Unless, perhaps, you just 'grandfather' Pluto into planethood, but no others... a nice political solution to a sticky issue.

It's a matter of definition, and no one owns a word. The IAU has chosen 
to adopt a particular definition, but that only specifies its meaning 
for the purposes of the IAU.

So there is no way of giving an absolute answer to the question "What is 
Pluto?"

Five Moons and a surface that shows traces of geological
activity ... what else is required ???

Keep in mind:  the same people who voted for Pluto to
be reduced to Dwarf Plane status are the same people
who voted for Obama and think that Obama is doing
a bang-up job.
