Mao and his cronies had banned this type of medicine, the monasteries were destroyed and the doctors 're-educated'. There is some kind of revival. But China is large and the population mainly poor. They are also quite careless with avoidable risks like e.g. toxic materials. They have pollution problems, too. TH

There is no tenet of athesism that says what did create the universe nor any other tenet other than there are no supernatural beings. Why do so many of them lie to atheists about both ourselves and science when it is simply part of objective reality and accepted as such by non-fundamentalist Christians? It is nothing to do with atheism. Religion makes people stupid, mentally ill, dishonest and nasty. And when they don't believe their lies but do it as a psychopathic game, the equivalent of scrawling swastikas on the inside walls of a Jewish community centre, they are just as mentally ill - as well as giving aid and comfort to those who are bent on destroying the scientific education that kept the country at the forefront of a competitive world.
