Answer: no, it isn't. Reason: the equation describes certain decays, where mass decreases and energy in form of waves is released. This would suggest, that mass goes down, if released energy is positive. But this is not, what the equation says. Correct would be, to introduce 'deltas' and have such an equation: delta m = - delta E/ c² But then goes another central support of modern physics out the window... TH
