A sufficiently capable technology could get a person to the moon in 5 hours at a constant 1g acceleration (i.e. comfortably). The same acceleration would get a person to Mars in a couple of days (when Mars is closest to the Earth). Higher accelerations give low journey times (but in less comfort). However, we lack the technology to maintain such accelerations over extended periods. Sylvia.
