It's very simple.. you take a picture of the universe throw a dart on it.. BINGO, you found a planet! http://www.astronomy.com/news/2016/10/astronomers-find-a-planet-through-a-never-before-used-method ooooh, what should we call it?? "let me check the science fiction books to find out it's properties..." "Oh, it's habitable! And is has a underground ocean, too!" Any planets out there called...Goldenlocks? Goldenlocks Planet?? with 3 moons..a momma moon, a papa moon..a baby moon???? Let me remove the dart to see where it is located...
