The choice of ntoation was however done by Leibniz and such just because that if you informally think of them as having a value and beign seperate, manipulation in calculus becomes very intuitive, while still being correct in the end. Even though that it is non-sensical foromally.

>no, it is not meaningless. You can give it meanign but if you say it is from dy/dx=f'(x), then it is meaningless cause dy nor dx does not refer to a function, value or anything on their own, but together they do. He assumed you meant a value of some sort (at which it is correct) but you are not refering to a value with your previous statement. Therefore it is wrong. you can defien dx^2=0, we got nilpotent structures and such, but it is not like dy/dx=f'(x) then.

It comes from x^dx = 1 + ln x dx when x = e

>> f'(x) = dy/dx = (f(x+dx) - f(x))/dx FALSE! It is f'(x) = dy/dx = lim(h->0) (f(x+h) - f(x))/h The limit must be there and as others now have pointed out, your string of symbosl are meaningless cause you've not defined it properly and don't know basic calculus.

you "dumbass"
(far worser than "stupid jerk").
f'(x) = dy/dx DOES NOT = (f(x+dx) - f(x))/dx
you get an F for FAIL !
