I can read, but I don't see an argument for w-inconsistency there. If we accept that for n = 1, 2, 3, 4, ... there are proofs in some theory of arithmetic T for each case that: nodes_at_level(n) > paths_at_level(n) then w-inconsistency will be present if T can also prove some x. not ( nodes at level(n) > paths at level(n) ). In this case there should be an inductive proof that all x. nodes_at_level(x) > paths_at_level(x) so this would give a proof of inconsistency if you can show w-inconsistency (not that you will object to that, I suppose). Do you have a reason to think that the following is provable some x. not ( nodes at level(n) > paths at level(n) ), or some other reason to think there is an w-inconsistency, based on some other formula ? > Julio -- Alan Smaill

No, I have given a counter-argument and you can't even notice, you other fucking idiot and the other side of the same coin: *you* have no proof, and do not even know... *Plonk* Julio

What are alpeh_0 infinite paths?
Do you mean countable many infinite paths?
Resp. do you mean aleph_0 many infinite paths?
It wouldn't cost you a dime to use
the word "many" more often.
There are trees where uncountable many paths
can be separated by countable many nodes.
You find this already in the real numbers:
We have for two real numbers a,b:
if a < b then
there exists a rational numbers r that:
a < r < b
But there are only countable many rational
numbers, yet you can separate the uncountable
many real numbers.

Actually you can strengthen the theorem:
If a < b then there exists r,s rational numbers such
that we have:
a < r < s < b
Now you can even construct an irrational number
between a and b, namely
a < c < b
where:
sqrt(2) r + s
c = -------------
sqrt(2) + 1
Homework: Prove c is irrational.
(Actually I don't know, but I guess yes)
But this doesn't lead to the uncountability of
the irrational numbers. Use Dan Christensens hint.

The strengthening is simple if you have already theorem that says for a pair (a,b) of real numbers there is a rational number r inbetween. You can apply the very same theorem to (r,b), and you get the s. Am Freitag, 22. This fact can be used to prove the countability of all real numbers. See: "A severe inconsistency of set theory" in https://www.hs-augsburg.de/~mueckenh/Transfinity/Transfinity/pdf. The discussion shows that matheologians like Mummert and Magidin have not understood the basics of the argument and are going astray with their nonsensical arguing. Regards, WM

I don't think your PDF shows anything stemming from
postulates and logical reasoning. Your axiom of
infinity on page 45 is still wrong.
It still reads nonsensically, which is not
Zermelos axiom of infinity:
exists S (0 in S /\ (X in S => {X} in S))
What postulates and what logical reasoning are
you using to derive your results. Maybe you use
other postulates and other logical reasoning
than Mummert and Magidin. Finite model theory
is not the same as FOL. Maybe you should start
using recursion theory to convey your
ideas instead of bashing other people who
work with other assumptions than those of
Augsburg Crank institute, where {42,pi} is
a set of integers.

Well to the best of my knowledge, for the usual constructions of the real numbers, there is always a real number between to real numbers, even if the two real numbers are irrational. Just take two real numbers (assume they are normalized, no 0.999... only 1): a0.a1 a2 a3 .... b1.b1 b2 b3 .... Then if they are different, then there is some index k, such that a0=b0, a1=b1, .., ak=bk, all the same, but ak+1<>bk+1 already different. No look what was the same, and add some digits: a0.a1 ... ak (ak+1+bk+1)/2 But the above is a rational number and its inbetween. Am Freitag, 22. Juni 2018 18:41:09 UTC+2 schrieb WM: > Am Freitag, 22. Look at the proof, I have constructed the rational
number between two irrational numbers not only as
a rational number, but also as a node.
If you use binary system and not decimal system,
here is a table what digits you should use for
(ak+1+bk+1)/2, so that you can construct the
inbetween node. Since we require ak+1<>bk+1
there are only two possible cases for the
binary system:
ak+1 bk+1 (ak+1+bk+1)/2
0 1 0 1
1 0 0 1

Well because a < b, only this situation
can happen, and we need to do a little bit
more. Actually we need to add j ones:
ak+1 bk+1 (ak+1+bk+1)/2
0 1 0 1 ... 1
\-- j --/
You need to take so many j ones, that you are
still larger than a. This is possible since a
will not have an infinite number of ones,
since I assumed that the real numbers are
normalized. Sorry that I needed to correct
the proof. So the tree would look:
.. a
0 /
+---------+
1 \
.. b
And the inbetween would be found as:
+ 0 .. a
/ 1\ /
0 / ..1 +
+---------+ \
1 \ 1 .. c
.. b
