Shut off, crank. What you've done is teaching fallacies and abusing your position of authority so that the unfortunate students had to mimic your mental disorder in order to get good grades. It is more than likely than they've never buy your lies, Herr Mueckenheim. You will be removed from German Academy, Mueckenheim, your book will be unpublished too.

Thats a good point, thanks. And also some food for thought for fruit cake. If ZFC were inconsistent, i.e. had a contradiction, would then axiom less logic also have a contradicion? Am Mittwoch, 25. You do have a pathological issue on admitting being wrong when proven
so, Herr Mueckenheim (this is obvious in most of the threads where
you've posted your sophistic "proofs"), this is only a small part
of your mental disease, but quite a central one along your deep
intellectual dishonesty. All of these symptoms of yours are incompatible
with the practice of mathematics.
In English, like in French by the way, "contradiction" has this
meaning, while "to contradict" (in French "contredire") does not refer
to a logical incompatibility but only states that someone argued against
a given statement. It has absolutely no connotation to truth or
fallacy. The verb you were looking for is indeed "refute" ("réfuter").
This said, you have actually refuted nothing as everything of what
you wrote contradicting Set Theory is pure demented sophistry.

If the result of a mathematical theory "has been contradicted", like it happens to Cantor's theory, then it can no longer be applied reasonably. Then there is a contradiction. Or look into an English dictionary for to contradict, namely to deny the truth of something. That's what I intended. I know that you will not understand and even if you understood you would lie about it. But perhaps some lurkers may be informed about your and Rennenkampff's level. Regards, WM

You do have a pathological issue on admitting being wrong when proven so, Herr Mueckenheim (this is obvious in most of the threads where you've posted your sophistic "proofs"), this is only a small part of your mental disease, but quite a central one along your deep intellectual dishonesty. All of these symptoms of yours are deeply incompatible with the practice of mathematics.

If the result of a mathematical theory "has been contradicted", like it happens to Cantor's theory, then it can no longer be applied reasonably. Then there is a contradiction. Wrong Herr Mueckenheim. "has been contradicted" only means that someone pretend that a given statement (proven or not, btw) is false. > Or look into an English dictionary for to contradict, namely to deny the truth of something. Exactly. To deny the truth (contradict) does not mean proving wrong (refute). There are people contracting that the Earth is a globe (precisely a geoid) as well as people denying that Card P(N) > Card(N), it doesn't mean that they have proven wrong these statements (which are actually true, and proven). You can contradict a truth, you cannot refute a truth. > That's what I intended. I know that you will not understand and even if you understood you would lie about it. You can also contradict something proven. So far the "truth" of |P(N)|>|N| is only relative to FOL+ZFC, that it was proven as a theorem in FOL+ZFC. If we assume FOL+ZFC consistent, then an additional separate proof of ~(|P(N)|>|N|) is impossible. But this requires that we assume FOL+ZFC consistent. If we do not assume FOL+ZFC consistent, then all bets are open... Am Donnerstag, 26. Juli 2018 14:40:28 UTC+2 schrieb Python: > Doktor Venom Frankenheim wrote: > > Am Donnerstag, 26. We prove FOL+ZFC inconsistent by means of the Binary Tree that is as consistent in ZFC as the diagonal argument. The assumption of consistency is then contradicted too. Regards, WM

Well to show FOL+ZFC inconsistent, you need to exhibit a sentence A, where you prove *inside* FOL+ZFC, the following two things: FOL+ZFC |- A FOL+ZFC |- ~A A lower bound |N| =< |P(N)| is not such a contradiction to |N| < |P(N)|. x =< y doesn't contradict x < y. Only ~(x < y) == x >= y, an upper bound, would contradict, x < y. But a lower bound does not. Am Donnerstag, 26. Juli 2018 16:28:45 UTC+2 schrieb transf...@gmail.com: > Am Donnerstag, 26. Merriam Webster: contradict: to not agree with (something) in a way that shows or suggests that it is false, wrong, etc. That is what I meant and did, and what Rennenkampff and Python neither knew nor understood. Compare what Russell did in showing that Frege's version of set theory was inconsistent, by finding a contradiction inside that theory. You claimed once not to understand why Russell chose to build proofs inside Frege's system. Maybe you really did not understand ........ > > Regards, WM -- Alan Smaill

And in your post above you clearly use it as if it meant refute... You are so pathologically dishonest that you post references proving that Jürgen and I are right and that you are wrong. You should show your "contradictions" to a psychiatrist, Herr Mueckenheim.
