Well no, (and thank you for responding on point) that mix of efficiencies means diesel charges the battery system and handles long cruises whilst the electric motor excels at city stop and go. A near perfect synergy, that somehow the market has failed to embrace. The fuel efficiency of any small diesel is better than similar sized gas engines. It also offers gobs of torque low in the rpm band, and that is what gets things moving. The question is why hasn't his pairing become the standard? Is it due to the higher cost of diesel fuel? Lobbying from the trucking industry to avoid fuels competition from the private sector? What say you?

Try that shit in Nebraska during summer heat and see how long that battery lasts.

Presumably, these bugs will eventually get worked out. EVs have battery coolers and warmers. They work fine, last a long time. You need to do some market research: AI Overview Battery electric vehicle (BEV) delivery fleets in Nebraska are transitioning from small-scale pilots to broader regional deployments. Major logistics, corporate fleets, and utility companies are actively incorporating last-mile electric vans and medium-duty box trucks to navigate and service hubs in cities like Omaha and Lincoln. Key Players & Local Activity Logistics & Parcel Carriers: Major players (e.g., UPS, FedEx, and the USPS) are actively evaluating and deploying electric last-mile delivery vehicles in Nebraska, driven by corporate sustainability mandates. The U.S. Postal Service is steadily rolling out its Next Generation Delivery Vehicles (NGDVs). Commercial Upfitting: Omaha is home to eTruck Transportation, a female-led firm specializing in retrofitting existing diesel box trucks into electric models, offering a sustainable way for local fleets to transition.Corporate & Local Fleets: Regional and national operators utilizing refrigerated or standard dry vans in the Midwest are testing International eMV models to navigate between hubs in Omaha, Lincoln, and Grand Island. Vehicles & Infrastructure Common BEV Models in Use: Commercial operators frequently utilize the Ford E-Transit, Chevrolet BrightDrop, and Rivian Commercial Van for last-mile routes, which handle the 100-200 daily stops common in urban areas. Fleet Support: Because public infrastructure can be sparse across parts of the state, third-party services like Bee Charged EV provide mobile EV charging specifically for commercial fleets across Nebraska.

Don Epstein wrote:
The Republican party obviously has a long and sordid history of the most
disgusting sex scandals, including those of the child abuse and rape
variety. And that certainly forms a tight Venn diagram with the rot inside
the conservative Christian church, protestant and Catholic, rich, poor and
everything in between.
It's as if there's something about these ideologies that lends itself to
abusing minors, and that attracts and shelters those who'd like to do
that.
Since January I've been tracking all the current news stories I can find
of Christian pastors, priests, youth leaders, teachers, gymnastics
coaches, and more - anyone in a spiritual position of power - who's
accused of, sued or arrested for, tried for, and/or convicted of sex
crimes against minors. Because there are so fucking many of them.
(Meanwhile, similar stories about drag queens, trans people or LGBTQ+
people in general just don't show up in the news very often! But yet we're
supposed to attack LGBTQ+ people as groomers and predators while we drop
our kids off at church, where the bad guys are. Well, guess what? Fuck
you.)
I'm not the only one who's ever tracked this stuff. I compile my list by
using other people's lists and tips y'all leave me on social media, and
also just my own searching. But I'm particularly interested to see exactly
which churches, and which denominations, are
producing/aiding/hiding/harboring the most child sex predators, alleged
and confirmed.
Because quite frankly, when these Christian conservative MAGA fascist Nazi
motherfuckers try to impose their will on the rest of us, try to control
our lives, I think one of our first questions should be "Oh yeah? And
which white fascist Christian tradition are you from?"
And when they tell us, one of the FIRST things that comes to mind should
be our knowledge of what a haven for kidfuckers that place may or may not
be.
Now that we're six months in tracking this, and we can start putting
together some preliminary data, the word that comes up the most?
Baptist.
Both the Southern Baptist variety and the independent fundamentalist
Baptist variety, as well as a couple other varieties. Is there something
about those churches that makes them inherently unsafe for kids? And
should children be allowed in those churches without parental supervision?
Just asking!
Fucking Baptists. Become a paying subscriber because you're not surprised!
I have a full update on my tracking list below, but you should know that
the grand total of distinct stories I've tracked in the first six months
of this year is ONE-HUNDRED FUCKING TWENTY-FIVE. Almost all are from the
United States. A ridiculous percentage come from the South.
For fairness, I'm also tracking how often it happens at more liberal and
mainline Christian churches. SPOILER: Not very.
And right now, anything with "Baptist" next to its name is far and away
leading the pack, accounting for fully 39 out of the 125 stories.
Out of those, 21 are Southern Baptist congregations and/or schools. That
shouldn't be a shock, since the SBC is kind of the Home Of The Christian
Sex Abuse Scandal Cover-Up, at least among protestants.
But hey, y'all, the SBC just overwhelmingly voted to criminalize porn!
And to call for the overturning of Obergefell v. Hodges, which legalized
marriage equality!
At least they're paying attention to the important stuff, like God Hates
Fags, right?
Scumbag motherfuckers, literally every one of them is going to hell.
Ten more are from independent fundamentalist Baptist/King James churches,
the extreme backwoods kinds that think only the King James version of the
Bible is the real one, I guess because they think Jesus was a white man
who spoke the King's English. (It's funny that they love that translation
so much, considering how little formal education so many IFB/King James
church leaders have.)
The other eight are Baptist churches that were harder to easily
categorize. A few are historically Black congregations. One or two are
just much more obscure sects under the "Baptist" umbrella.
Here are some more numbers on which churches, denominations and movements
are represented in the big conservative Christian kid-toucher report, and
how much so far:
Assemblies of God/Holiness/Apostolic/generally otherwise pentecostal
or charismatic (some of these might better belong in the regular
nondenominational/megachurch category below or vice versa, I'm doing
my best to categorize them) - 16
General nondenominational evangelical/Christian nationalist (this is a
big tent, but there's a lot of "undefined" out there in the world of
evangelicalism, also see just above) - 15
Catholic - 8
Conservative Presbyterian (PCA, EPC, etc.) or anything calling itself
"Reformed" - 4
Seventh Day Adventist - 4
Lutheran (regular/Missouri Synod) - 3
Methodist (the conservative, backwards types, NOT the nice United
Methodists) - 2
Vineyard USA - 2
Nazarene - 2
Wesleyan - 1
Anglican (NOT Episcopalian, these tend to be the ones that left the
Episcopalians in a huff for being insufficiently gay-hating) - 1
Evangelical Lutheran (these are the liberal Lutherans, despite what
the name might sound like) - 1
Mormon (LDS) - 1
Church of Christ - 1
Disciples of Christ - 1
Episcopalian - 1
United Methodist - 1
Now obviously, I can't call this scientific, because for one thing there's
no way of knowing if I missed a bunch of stories, since stories of child
sex abuse in the conservative Christian church really are so constant. (I
literally gather new sources every month.) Plus, as I alluded to several
times, the categorization isn't always going to be perfect, considering
the uneven lines between some of these
evangelical/charistmatic/nondenominational movements, and their overlap
with the more pentecostal side of things, etc.
But I'm trying my best to categorize them fairly!
Also it's entirely possible I miscounted something. (Whoever wants to
volunteer to turn this into a spreadsheet, well, you'll be doing God's
actual work.)
But we can look at these patterns.
And when we see somebody like that sneering, satanic-eyed little prig
Speaker Mike Johnson claiming moral superiority and authority over how the
rest of us should be allowed to live our lives, we can go yeeeeeeeeah go
fuck yourself, you Southern Baptist creep, and we can know exactly why
we're saying it.

Yet a disturbing pattern has emerged, one that challenges the very foundation of their proclaimed moral authority. Top Three Takeaways from the Article: Widespread MAGA/GOP-Linked Sexual Abuse: Multiple Republican politicians, MAGA supporters, and religious figures who publicly champion "family values" have been arrested or convicted for child sexual abuse and exploitation, highlighting a disturbing pattern of moral hypocrisy. Selective Outrage and Misplaced Accusations: While conservative rhetoric often targets marginalized groups (such as LGBTQ+ individuals) as threats to children, many actual perpetrators come from within their own political and religious circles. Moral Double Standards Undermine Credibility: The repeated offenses by individuals claiming moral superiority call into question the legitimacy of MAGA and the Republican Party's claims to being the party of "family values, " revealing a gap between public posturing and private behavior. Across the country, multiple Republican figures, many of them vocal opponents of LGBTQ+ rights and self-styled guardians against grooming children, have themselves been implicated in horrific crimes against children. The hypocrisy is not just political; it is deeply moral. Craig Lee Christianson II - MAGA Pedophile Craig Lee Christianson II – NEW! 45 years old Des Moines, Iowa January, 2026 The Adams County Sheriff's Office says 45-year-old Craig Lee Christianson II was arrested at around 8:15 p. m. for sexual exploitation of a minor, a class B felony, enticing a minor, a class D felony, and grooming, a class D felony. According to court documents, Lee believed he was communicating with a 14-year-old when he "(requested) sexually explicit photographs and encouraged the (detective) to sneak out of the house by providing ... details of how to shut her location off on Life360. " Below is one of his posts from just a few weeks ago, where he claims it's the "libtards: that are the ones harming children. Craig Lee Christianson II - MAGA Pedophile social post Madison Paige Jones - MAGA Pedophile Madison Paige Jones – NEW! 30 years old Midlothian, Texas December, 2025 Madison Paige Jones, 30, is accused of possession of child pornography, indecency with a child, and aggravated sexual assault with a child. She was arrested in Midlothian on Friday, December 19, 2025. Midlothian ISD confirmed in a statement that Jones had worked for their schools as a substitute teacher, but only worked four days in the past year. She worked at Heritage High School on Nov. 19, the district said. Along with Heritage, Jones also subbed at Baxter Elementary, the district said. They say the alleged crimes do not appear to have happened at their schools or with their students. They assured families in a letter that their system of monitoring and vetting teachers is sound, and they were quickly informed of the crimes by Texas DPS. James Taylor Florida Republican MAGA Pedophyle James Taylor – Republican City Commissioner 38 years old Fort Pierce City, Florida July, 2025 The MAGA Republican and Fort Pierce City Commissioner was arrested and charged with multiple felony counts related to allegedly sending explicit messages and images to a minor. Judge Kevin Robert Christensen Pedophile Judge Kevin Robert Christensen 64 years old Box Elder County, Utah July, 2025 The Box Elder judge appeared in court on July 3, 2025, to discuss preliminary hearings for committing online sexual crimes against children. In March, Christensen was charged with nine felonies, including two counts of enticing a minor, two counts of dealing in materials harmful to a minor, three counts of attempted aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, and obstruction of justice. Christensen allegedly had multiple conversations with another man, Ned Brady Hansen, where they discussed child sexual abuse material on the app Kik. Documents also alleged that Hansen and Christensen had a sexual relationship. They were both arrested in January 2025. Benton County Treasurer Richard Renno Pedophile Richard Renno 62 years old Jefferson City, Missouri July, 2025 Renno's was arrested on two felony sex charges involving a 14 year old minor, sending a message on the dating app Grindr to a minor while on taxpayer time, use of taxpayer time to engage in predatory behavior, and failure to fulfill statutory duties as the sole employee of the Treasurer's Office. Scott Soucek MAGA Pedophyle Scott Soucek 56 years old Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin July, 2025 The husband of MAGA GOP Chairperson Stephanie Soucek has been arrested and is facing 10 counts of possession of child pornography. "I'm voting to fight against human/child trafficking, " he posted to Facebook a month before the 2024 elections as part of a long list of reasons he was voting Republican. He added that he was voting "for my children and my grandchildren. " RJ May Pedofile RJ May – Republican State Representative UPDATED 38 years old Lexington, South Carolina June, 2025 Former Rep. RJ May will spend 17 1/2 years in prison for distributing videos of children being sexually abused, a federal judge decided on Wednesday, January 14th, 2026. Republican member of South Carolina's state house and Vice Chairman of the South Carolina Freedom Caucus who prosecutors say used the screen name "joebidennnn69" has been arrested and charged with 10 counts of distributing sexual abuse material involving children. The three-term Republican is accused of exchanging 220 files of toddlers and young children involved in sex acts on the Kik social media network for about five days in spring 2024, according to court documents that graphically detailed the videos. Riley Carter MAGA Pedophyle Riley Carter 40 years old Aberdeen, Washington June, 2025 MAGA anti-pedophile Aberdeen City Councilman in Washington state was convicted of three counts of rape of a child in the first degree, three counts of incest in the first degree, one count of child molestation in the first degree, and one count of incest in the second degree. He was sentenced to a minimum of 461/2 years in prison. Every accusation is an admission of guilt with these people. Gateway Church Pastor Robert Morris MAGA Pedophyle Pastor Robert Morris 61 years old Southlake, Texas May, 2025 Donald Trump's former spiritual advisor, televangelist and founder of Gateway Church out of the Dallas area, was indicted for molesting a 12- year-old girl. Several Gateway Church leaders were also found to have conspired in the years-long cover-up of Morris' abuse of a young woman. There is no indication that members of the Gateway Church congregation have stopped attending services, so I guess they're okay with old men bedding young girls. Daniel Merrick Pedophile Pastor Daniel Merrick NEW! 65 years old Smethport, Pennsylvania May, 2025 A Pennsylvania pastor has been sentenced after police found him to be in possession of hundreds of images and videos of child pornography. On Tuesday, August 12, the McKean County District Attorney's Office announced that Daniel Merrick, a pastor in Smethport, was sentenced for possessing nearly 700 images and videos of child porn after attempting to withdraw a plea agreement. If you were wondering the reason so many people are leaving the church then this pastor may give you an idea of why. Jeremy Francis Plonski Pedophile State Trooper Jeremy Francis Plonski NEW! 29 years old Shakopee, Minnesota May, 2025 Charged in early May with producing videos depicting the sexual abuse of a child, he's now facing additional counts after a federal grand jury reviewed the case. Prosecutors initially charged Plonski with a single count of producing child pornography. A grand jury added an additional production count plus two counts of distributing the material. According to the indictment, Plonski in April 2023 "repeatedly and personally" sexually abused an infant to whom he had access. Prosecutors allege that Plonski wore his trooper uniform and sidearm while recording the videos. We know he's MAGA because he used the photo of Trump's fake assassination attempt as his profile cover photo on social media. This is what America recruits to become a cop. Feel safe? [Ryan Utterback Pedophile] Ryan Utterback NEW! 29 years old Kansas City, Missouri May, 2025 After seeking to ban several LGBTQ books from schools for depicting sexual content is now facing a felony charge of second-degree child molestation. This upstanding MAGA supporter also faces a misdemeanor charge of fourth- degree domestic assault and, in a separate case, a misdemeanor of furnishing or attempting to furnish pornographic material to a minor. On May 19, 2025, he pleaded guilty to the amended charges of second-degree sexual abuse and second-degree harassment. On May 20, 2025, Utterback was sentenced to one year in detention, with a "suspended execution of sentence" – which means he won't spend any time in an actual jail cell – and two years of probation. Dan Halloran - MAGA Pedophile Republican City Councilman Dan Halloran 54 years old Queens, New York April, 2025 Former New York City Councilman Dan Halloran, who previously served five years in federal prison for a $200,000 bribery scheme to rig a mayoral election, has been arrested and charged with possession of child sexual abuse material, according to authorities. Halloran, 54, was apprehended at Miami International Airport on Saturday during a layover from Cuba. U. S. Customs and Border Protection officers inspected his iPhone and discovered 1,362 videos of child sexual abuse, including approximately 35 videos of "prepubescent" girls being victimized, according to a federal criminal complaint filed in the Southern District of Florida. John Kevin Taylor MAGA Pedophyle John Kevin Taylor 48 years old Coldstream, Kentucky April, 2025 The former extreme right-wing mayor of Coldstream, Kentucky, was arrested for repeatedly raping a child under the age of 12 and possession of child sex abuse content. Even Donald Trump said in an interview that 12 was too young, even if they're beautiful. Ricci Wynne Pedophile Ricci Wynne – MAGA Influencer NEW! 39 years old San Francisco, California March, 2025 A MAGA influencer known as "RawRicci415, " Wynne was indicted for allegedly using minors to produce child pornography. Arrested in November 2024 on suspicion of pimping, Wynne previously gained attention for documenting city crime. He remains in custody, facing serious legal consequences related to his actions. Wynne was also identified as a suspect in the sexual assault of a 15-year-old. He has also appeared as a guest on several Fox News shows, including "Jesse Watters Primetime" and "Tucker Carlson Tonight. " Minnesota GOP Senator Justin David Eichorn Pedophile Justin Eichorn – Republican State Senator 41 years old Grand Rapids, Minnesota March, 2025 Eichorn was charged with soliciting a minor according to federal prosecutors. He and 13 other men were arrested by Bloomington police officers who were attempting to catch adults who were soliciting minors for sex. Republicans scream about "protecting children" while their own leaders get caught trying to prey on them. Raymon (Ray) Everett Holmberg MAGA Pedopphyle Ray Holmberg – Republican State Senator 81 years old Grand Forks, North Dakota March, 2025 The North Dakota Republican Senator, who served for 45 years, was sentenced today to 10 years in prison for traveling 14 times between 2011 and 2021 to Prague in the Czech Republic, where he paid to sexually exploit children. This guy traveled the world looking for sex with young boys like he wasRush Limbaugh! Andrew Taake Pedophile Andrew Taake – Jan. 6th Rioter NEW! 36 years old Houston, Texas February, 2025 Taake was pardoned by Donald Trump for his role in the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection has been arrested on an outstanding child sex crimes charge. He was taken into custody on Feb. 6, 2025, after spending more than two weeks as a fugitive, the Harris County District Attorney's Office said. He had previously been charged with online solicitation of a minor stemming from a 2016 incident in which he allegedly sent sexually explicit messages to an undercover law enforcement officer who was posing as a 15-year-old girl. Only the best people, right? Zachary Radcliff MAGA Pedophyle Zachary Radcliff 30 years old Ypsilanti, Michigan December, 2024 A former Washtenaw County church youth group director and Christian recording artist has been arrested and charged with 60 felony counts of sexual abuse of multiple children between the ages of 12 and 17. His father is a senior pastor at Oakwood Church in Augusta Township, so you've got to wonder what he taught his son about dealing with children. He's not an immigrant, he's not a drag queen, and he's not trans. Joey Dale Dearman MAGA Pedophyle Joey Dale Dearman 45 years old Tupelo, Mississippi August, 2024 Mississippi MAGA police officer was arrested by the Prentiss County Sheriff's Department for three counts of touching a child for lustful purposes and one count of enticement of a child to meet for sexual purposes. That blue lives crowd always seems to attract some of the worst people society has to offer. I wonder how many of the cops Dearman worked with knew what he was doing but helped with the coverup? Raymond Uttaro MAGA pedophyle Raymond Uttaro 65 years old Charlottesville, Virginia May, 2024 A former D. A. R. E. officer with the Nelson County Sherrif's Office and outspoken Trump and MAGA supporter, he was convicted in May 2024 on four counts of aggravated sexual battery of a minor, four counts of distributing oxycodone to a minor, four counts of sodomy of a minor, two counts of object sexual penetration of a minor, two counts of carnal knowledge of a minor, one count of abduction with intent to defile a child under the age of 16, and one count of sexual battery of a minor. These crimes occurred while the victim was 11 to 15 years old. He forgave his victims in a letter he read to the court. Yes, HE forgave them. Joel Koskan MAGA Pedophyle Joel Koskan 46 years old Pierre, South Dakota April, 2023 The South Dakota Republican who sexually groomed his stepdaughter and STILL received 42% of the vote despite the allegations against him was sentenced to ten years in state prison on two charges of incest. It sure seems conservatives are okay with grown men having sex with children as long as they're Republican politicians. And yes, that's Joel hanging out with his friend Kristi Noem, aka Homeland Barbie. These are not isolated incidents. They form a pattern, one that calls into question not just individual culpability but the broader moral compass of MAGA political movement headed by Donald Trump that markets itself as the last line of defense against societal collapse. While Republican lawmakers push anti-trans bathroom bills and ban drag shows under the guise of "protecting children", actual predators are being harbored in their ranks. Their silence is deafening. Their outrage is selective. And their moral authority is collapsing under the weight of their own hypocrisy. If protecting children is truly the priority, then the first step is acknowledging that harm doesn't come from marginalized communities, but often from those in power, especially those who hide behind religion, patriotism, and family values while committing unforgivable crimes. The time for selective outrage is over. Either the GOP will confront the rot within its own ranks, or it will continue to protect predators while falsely claiming to protect children. It's important to remember that Epstein didn't kill himself, and Trump is on the list.

What if i copypaste an AI overview like you do? If it says solar is generally cheaper than fossil, are you going to repent in sackcloth & ashes and admit I'm right? And if it's an actual credible source, will you be twice as sorry? > Solar and wind are linked as renewables, whether you like it or not. You can link them in your mind all you want. My point is about solar. You brought up wind. > And *both* suffer the same malady - sporadic generation which mandates > storage, which means massive battery farms or proposed dreams like "wind > caves". > > You fail to identify, cost out and account for storage, as all your ilk > do in their deception claims. Any dent we can make in fossil fuel use is helpful, any time of the day. Battery storage is yesterday's news. Extra energy can be stored by pumping water to hilltop reservoirs. Pumped-water storage is simpler and cheaper than batteries, and been used at hydro plants for a long time. <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pumped-storage_hydroelectricity> BTW, where's the pollution surcharge when you buy a gallon of gas? > > (snip irrelevant dodges) (snip) > >>>> AI Overview > >>>> Under the Obama administration, the Department of Energy (DOE) issued > >>> > >>> Is the artificial kind the only kind you've got? > >> > >> Is snipping all you have left? One subsidy supports a massive employment industry. We could pay people to dig holes and fill them back up too. Fossil requires more steps which is why it's more expensive. Solar doesn't require all those people. > 2. The other gets siphoned off to cheap Chicom solar panels and batteries. Or we could use solar in the USA and make them ourselves. We could even hire wetbacks instead of chicoms. It's pure politics, your current regime just doesn't like solar. > > Not to mention the pollution cost. > > Already baked in the generation and user costs. It's no more a biohazard than rock. Are you worried about all these streets and sidewalks filling up the landfills? Sheesh. Please explain, then, how "rooftop solar" is a germaine response to "why are we wasting oil on fuel"? You still haven't explained why we need to use petroleum for fuel in order to make all these wonderful plastics and cosmetics from it. > Fossil power wins out by its ease of extraction, production, delivery, > and most critically 24/7/365 availability, period. Nope. Sorry, solar extracts, produces and delivers itself. See above about storing energy.
