I've been using a $10/mo *shared* hosting plan from DreamHost for ten years, with unlimited domains, storage and bandwidth. That sounds a lot closer to what you want than a VPS. I don't know if this plan is still available for purchase however.

I'm not sure of the context of the VPS statement, but I am looking at Reseller plans which means I can have multiple domain accounts all separated from one another with separate login usernames. Simple multiple domain web hosting usually means they are all controlled by one login. Looking at their web page I can't tell what DreamHost has. They talk about hosting multiple accounts, but always from one "web hosting account" or "DreamHost account". I don't know what that means. Looks like they use a proprietary interface since they don't mention cPanel much less WHM. I'm sure I contacted them, but it could have been chat or email. I don't see emails from them so it must have been chat. -- Rick C

I can do that (separate userid's, each with ssh access). I'm not sure if the panel is shared. But as I said, I don't know that plan is still for sale. > They > talk about hosting multiple accounts, but always from one "web hosting > account" or "DreamHost account". I don't know what that means. Probably just there's one account for payment. But that's probably what you want anyhow. Clifford Heath.

My website only costs me $4.99/month... http://olm.net/
And I have around 200 E-mail addresses that I assign to each vendor,
so I can track those who sell the address to spammers ;-}

I am revisiting this with a higher dollar figure trying to find a host with good support. So far it has been a day and a half after I sent dreamhost a message asking questions their web site doesn't answer and all I've gotten is an automated response saying it has been 24 hours but they haven't forgotten about me. I don't think dreamhost is the service I want. -- Rick C

I'm a big fan of Pair Networks, pair.com
A no-nonsense provider since 1995. They're
in Pittsburgh, a no-nonsense get-the-job-done
city. Low cost, thoroughly competent.
