Yes, breakfast for dinner again! I've got a pan of six Mary B's frozen
buttermilk biscuits in the oven. I have never claimed I could make good
biscuits from scratch; mine always turned out like hockey pucks. The
frozen Mary B brand works well. Nicely risen and browned on top, moist
and tender on the inside.

I'll be making some cream gravy which I will spoon over one of those
biscuits, served alongside two scrambled eggs.

I do have some cooked sliced pork sausage. I'll be wrapping up the
remaining biscuits to make little sausage & biscuit sandwiches which can
be frozen and used for future breakfasts or snacks.

Is that what Benzoyl Peroxide does to women?

We butterflied a pork tenderloin in olive oil and lemon with salt,
pepper, garlic, fresh oregano and a few other herbs. It was grilled o
the BBQ along with some small potatoes and there was steamed asparagus
and a Greek Salad. Dessert was a little vanilla ice cream with some
sliced fresh local strawberries.

We had Hawaiian food yesterday. The strange thing about that is that most people
in Hawaii don't eat Hawaiian food anymore - even the Hawaiians.

That poi is really squid luau which is taro leaves cooked with coconut milk. The

funny thing about squid luau is that it's not usually made with squid. These days

it's made mostly with octopus.

The tapioca is really poi. It's not really taro that has been pounded - I don't

know how it was ground like that. Rumor has it that the cooked taro has been run

though a garbage disposal. It doesn't matter to me how it came to be. It was

delicious. If only the ancient Hawaiians had garbage disposals.

Breakfast this morning was some coffee and this stuff: some sushi, musubi, fried

eggplant, croquette, and vegetable tempura.

Eggplant and bitter-melon are not the most exciting foods in the world but if

you cook it right, they're just lovely. Well, to me anyway.

Something has changed. All of your carriage-returns have turned into ^M.
I swear, I didn't do it! Did you change your character set? Meh, I'm
probably nuts, but this is what I get. I can live with it.

dsi1's client seems to be using CR-LF as the line-ending characters.
For some reason, your client is showing you the CR as a ^M. I used
to see that all the time when viewing Windows text files on Unix.

At a guess, his client is obeying the HTTP standard while your client
is obeying NNTP.

Leo's a sovereign citizen. His client only obeys Leo.

To me as well. I adore bitter-melon with Chinese tea-smoked duck.

It's a wonderful thing alright. Tonight we had some tantan ramen. My wife said

it tasted like the ramen served at Noods in the mall. That sounds about right

since the noodles were probably made by the same company: Sun Noodle.

Bitter melon sounds more intriguing, to me.

Wouldn't any food eaten by the locals in that rock be Hawaiian food?

Based on my limited experience with Hawaiian food at a short lived theme
restaurant in our town I an understand why they aren't interested in it.
No one else in town seemed to like it much either.

Traditional English food is also not exactly conquering the world.

Only Hawaiian food I see on a semi-regular basis is pizza with pineapple
on it. I've never seen Poi on special.

FWIW, "Hawaiian Pizza" isn't Hawaiian. It is a Canadian invention. Some
guy figured he could sell the worst pizza abomination by calling it
Hawaiian.
