I just found their FAQ and there's a question there about if Chapman's products are sold in the US and the answer is a categorical "No, sorry". It was negotiated in the original NAFTA. Why wouldn't it be? It's a preclearance program, and I like the bit that you clear customs at sea ports by phone in. I've read descriptions of NEXUS and never read that. I am aware that FAST is for truck drivers driving trucks with cargo, but if the commercial goods are less than a truckload, I had no idea you needed FAST.

Since I commonly (e.g. every 2-3 weeks pre-pandemic) made trips to the US border town then cleared them through Canada Customs (Commercial section) the Commercial people knew me though the NEXUS people didn't. But no question every bit of goods I crossed with was declared and everything requiring payment was paid. I'm not certain but believe the "handcuff" comment was in response to his "non-commercial" comment when I said "but that's 75% of my crossings!" (It was a couple of years before the pandemic and I'm retired now so at least personally the point is moot)

This guy was one of them: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jubal_Brown Apparently, if you fancy yourself an intellectual, you can do whatever the fuck you want.... As I recall from the news coverage, the judge who tried this trio of cat killers said it was the most heinous thing he'd ever heard of so he "threw the book at them". He sentenced them to three months in jail and since they'd been held in jail for that long awaiting trial, they had already served the sentence and were free immediately. I just did a search and can't find anything on Jesse Powell, the leader of the trio, from after the trial. (There are lots of hits for Jesse Powell but I don't think any of them are him.) Maybe he learned his lesson. Or simply changed his name. What a despicable excuse for a human being! -- Rhino

They didnt leave their car keys by the door like the Toronto police suggest to prevent things like this. Soon leftists will tell you to leave your car keys, your wallet and jewlry and your hot daughters near the door so people breaking in will leave you alone.

I've never heard of Fisherville so I found it in Google maps and it's not far from Nelles Corners and Hagersville. It's also not too far from Six Nations which has been "problematic" for a long time. (I remember hearing about a tire fire near Six Nations about 30 years ago and a local I met at the time said everybody knew exactly who was responsible: an Indian who I think was 16 at the time. That fire apparently burned for DAYS.... That young OPP officer who was killed on his first day driving alone was murdered in that area by a repeat offender from Six Nations. There have also been violent clashes between Indians objecting to the building of houses on what they claim is their land over the years in that area. Or maybe the perp is some other jerk. -- Rhino
