If you're going to continue to post links to comic strips, would
you please have the courtesy to mark them [OT] in the Subject?

It's not "written".

Yes, it is. Comics are written (and I say this as one who
is not really a fan of the medium).

Comics are certainly "written", even those with no words.

Hmm, by that standard, I guess "Harry Potter & The Cursed Child"
is off limits..

Sure it is. It's written text with pictures.

More to the point, I don't *think* (tell me if I'm wrong) that
rec.arts.comics doesn't have an .sf section.

It does, however, have a .strips, for discussion of all sorts of
comic strips. _Alice Grove_ would certainly be on topic there.

I don't strongly object to discussing it here, but I agree that some
sort of tag to mark the threads would be a good idea, just as is done
for _Girl Genius_.

Unfortunately, racs is moribund. There are scattered posts, but essentially
no discussion. And frankly, even were that not the case, this would still
be the better venue.

Though I have no probablem with some sort of subject designation, though
given the word "Alice" and that it was Lynn, I didn't have any real doubt..

Marking me as an OFF,* when I see a tag mentioning Alice and a
comic strip, I still think of the Goon from Thimble Theatre!

Lynn, could you put the title of the strip in the subject line? Letting
people know what material is being discussed is just polite.

Good point. I mean, *I* know what Lynn's talking about; but the
rest of you may not. :)

I will try to do so. The short term memory is not so good nowadays.
But I can remember 1970s so well.

Thanks,
Lynn

Heh. I can't. I was raising two small children at the time; I
was always exhausted and the whole decade is a blur.

Seems on topic to me, and I’m way down at the low end when
it comes to reading online comics. (I read ‘A Girl and her
Fed’ as it comes out, mostly because I got hooked on the
novels, and I catch up with ‘Gunnerkrigg Court’ every
couple of weeks or so. Nothing else that I’ve tried,
including GG, has held my interest for long.)

I wouldn't call them OT. Alice Grove is the eponymous
protagonist of a WAY post-holocaust or post-SOMEthing (they
call it the Blink) future in which humanity has divided into
two very different factions along geographical and doctrinal
lines. I wish it would move along faster; in the meantime,
it is unquestionably science fiction.

I check "Alice Grove" every day !

Cue "Anticipation" !
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NwP3wes4M8

BTW, people may not know that this is the authors second strip. He has
been running a daily (Mon - Fri) SF strip for many years at:
    http://questionablecontent.net/

"Questionable Content" has private space stations, fully independent
robots, robotic body parts, etc. It is set 20 to 50 years in advance of
our time. It also has crazy teenagers and sex crazed robots.
