I know you people haven't given it....much thought.

If you're not certain about the future, how do you know there is one?

The rotation of the earth has nothing to do with...future.

Let me know when it gets here, I'm always here now in the present.

benj 'the science guy' is probably stuck somewhere in some probable future...who knows where...the possibilities are endless...

of course, if there is no future he's probably still here somewhere.

(you know that scene in the movie "Get Out" where the guy is floating in space? that's benj...)

everytime benj sits down in his chair he falls down through outer space...

benji, what is longer....the future or the past?

I'm the science guy so I naturally know that the units of time are not
distance. The questions is science nonsense.

#492398 — The answer isn't meaningful to most people.

In reply to#492389
> > what is longer....the future or the past?

The answer isn't meaningful to most people
because, as the cosmos thins ( due to increasing entropy ),
"the clock" speeds up ( time passes faster ).

"The Cosmic Horizon" is like "The Event Horizon" of an ideal black hole;
the clock's TickRate, some 13,800,000,000 years ago,
at the cosmic horizon, was (virtually) zero
( the real, _precise_ TickRate is unknowable ).

13.8 billion years ago, everything in the (subjectively) Known Universe
was in the same location; i.e. zero entropy and infinite density/exergy.
[ eXergy is a type of energy that can do physical work, force * distance ]

  Eventually, this eXergy will be consumed away, replaced with entropy;
leaving us with a uniform heat bath that has all of the energy
  but none of the eXergy.

Gravity is the "memory" of where the stuff was.

All of history, every lesson ever, every advance, tells us:
    Randomness is ignorance, nothing more.

General Relativity's four dimensional TimeScape is static, eternal,
perfectly causal... it is, at once, everything _and_ nothing.

"Nothing at all is Everything"!!!!

There you go Rolf. You are really starting to "get" modern physics now.
Odd can explain the details to you of how nothing is everything.

IT seemms Sarfaker is not back from his trip to ignorance. Even for a
lib it should be obvious from H.G. Wells that operating a time machine
in your back yard never moves any distance, it's always in the same
spot. It just goes into the past or Faker's future that he finds
non-existent from his "deep thoughts".

Faker you are fooling nobody here. Like all libs you are STILL a science
idiot.
