Dave, he's done everything but straight-out say that he doesn't have the first friggin' *CLUE* what's involved in underwater life-support. Hell, I doubt he has any idea what depth an underwater habitat would have to be at to avoid being pounded into rubble by wave action. And even less idea what kind of pressure such a habitat would have to withstand. Never mind how much decompression time would be needed for a "quick trip to the nearest store". There is so much cluelessness in this conversation - by eveyrone -
I don't even know where to start. There are so many issues stemming
from the pressure at extreme depths under water that we don't spend
much time there. Those who do go down deep spend years in
specialized training, and boatloads of money in specialized
equipment. For a reason.
If it were easy, Discovery Channel would have a reality show with D
list actors in a dance contest at the bottom of the Marianas
Trench.
