No refrigeration is available on the space shuttle so fresh foods must be eaten within the first few days of flight or they will spoil. Never going to be any to-'n-fro or colonization of Mars in our, or even our grandchildren's lifetime. Rocket based propolsion is way too impractical. You need something as big as the statue of liberty just to get a few pounds to and back from the Moon. If something much better is discovered or developed, then maybe. Get real guys !
