If you click "Ilona Gordon" or "Andrew Gordon", you will see each author's bibliography.

Excellent! Domini Taylor's ISFSB page lists three novels:
_Teacher's Pet_ (1987)
_Siege_ (1990)
_The Eye Behind the Curtain_ (1993)
Thank you,

There's the case of Robert L. Forward which I'd like to know more about. ISFDB (and is there a query function to generate at least a list of authors and pseudonyms if not sort them into male/female?) lists Susan Lull among his pseudonyms. Her only work is "I Demand the Stars for My Children!" which appears to be semi-autobiographical fiction, which the editorial matter supports by noting she was born the year of the Wright Brothers' first flight, if not the day of it, as in the story, among other details. It seems possible to me that Forward was writing semi-biographical fiction about his mother, or even ghosting for her. It's even debatable if it is science fiction; it does meet one definition: being fiction published in a science fiction magazine. -- -Jack

And perhaps you would do well to postpone coding for gender until things settle down. There's a line in Lawrence Durrell's _Justine_, describing Alexandria (the one in Egypt) before World War II: "Five races, five languages, a dozen creeds ... but there are more than five sexes and only demotic Greek seems to distinguish among them." -- Dorothy J. We have had a number of extensive discussions re: this issue. So far we have been unable to reach consensus.

Let me try one, say "Sm"... maybe "Ms" instead... something in between; "Pa" should have Lewis Padgett appear on the first page. For purposes of this thread it would be useful not only to know that is a pseudonym, but for whom it is a pseudonym. Say build a list for every name with Pseudonym in the "Pseudonym?" column and the "Alternate Name Used By" field of its record, and the "Legal Name" field in the record of *those* names, because "C.L. Moore" isn't indicative, or, say, "Vin Packer" being a pseudonym for M.E. Kerr, whose legal name is Meaker, Marijane Agnes. I suppose before we go further, I should say that as pop culture is to Dorothy, databases are to me. You can explain, and I will thank you for your effort, but weeks/months/years from now I will make a comment by which you will know your explanation penetrated no further into my skull than my retinas. -- -Jack

And I know two other guys named Lynn. One goes by his middle name like I do. I must admit, getting mail or email to Ms. Lynn McGuire is an easy spam detector. Lynn

It's the "Lynn Swann" v "Lynn Anderson" problem,as I once called it, in the 1970s. I had a huge crush on a member of my high school class, named Lynn. She was very cute and quite smart. Has a Phd in art history. I kinda liked Lynn Anderson, too, come to think of it. Kevin R

Perhaps you should advocate for "Lynda" instead. It was good enough
for Wonder Woman, after all.

Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman and Diana Rigg in form fitting leather
as Emma Peel were enough to get a boy through puberty.
