Shades of Velikovsky's _Worlds in Collision_ (to borrow the Dorothy's
phrasing).

At present, Ahasuerus' fantastic database links Nibiru to exactly one
story, a story called _Gemini Rising_ (Louann Carroll). [3] At least one
reviewer classifies _Gemini_ as a Sci-fi Romance. [4]

This line of reasoning shows promise as a full blown Conspiracy Theory
in of itself. Does it work as science fiction?

Nibiru's new to me. Apparently it hides in the glare of the Sun, or at
least that's what it did a couple of years ago when Podesta originally
received the email.

It also takes thousands of years for Nibiru to complete an orbit around
the Sun. So it's plausibly still in the Sun's glare today. If so,
perhaps people will catch a peek at it during next year's total eclipse
of the Sun. Allow me to suggest _Velikovsky's Revenge_ as a working
title. :0)

Let me get this straight. "Lost in the glare" more-or-less means "behind
the sun from the observer's point-of-view." The upper limit of the time
that a heavenly body can remain "lost in the glare" is largely governed
by the Earth's own movement. In a couple of weeks the Earth moves enough
to see any heavenly bodies that were formerly "lost in the glare."

Sure enough, the email's dated 2014-09-07. And the author of the email
predicts that Nibiru will hit in 2016 or 2017. The author also advises
Podesta et al that:

I don't think so. SF should make some sense.

No, it's not. The Nibiru fantasy may move through a slow orbit, but
the Earth is moving around the Sun every year. The seasons change.
Like Venus and Mercury, everything that hides in the glare of the
Sum for a while comes out from behind that glare. It doesn't take
all that long.
