It's all good to use one meaning of <meiosis> to both figuratively and
literally belittle <understatement>. :) But the biological meaning of
<meiosis> frustrates me because it's not tightly coupled to
<telencephalization>. :(

In a perfect world where <meiosis> *is* tightly coupled to
<telencephalization> then F Paul Wilson's "Higher Centers" naturally
follows. And entitles me to mini-rant about centralization as a
pathogen. :)
