Since there is now hardly ever any traffic on this newsgroup  I wonder 
if there is a particular website that you would recommend that has 
discussion groups about rail transit in New York City and the greater area.

Not that I'm aware of, but I haven't looked very hard.

These days I live in upstate NY.  I haven't lived in NYC since 1956.

Thanks anyway. I also admit to not having looked very hard, though what 
I've seen isn't great. There was a time when this group was very active 
but, like most of usenet ...

I find Reddit to be useful, overall. I can't speak to other
options. Try them both and see if you like them?
