Tuner reveiver voor DVB-C (of DVB-S naar keuze), waarmee je programma's 
kan kijken of opnemen (maar liefst 8 verschillende tegelijkertijd).
Maar het draait op Linux (dus computer) waarbij je een eigen schil kan 
downloaden, die de mogelijkheid heeft om een internet browser te 
gebruiken (webkit browser) en een scala aan plugins (kleine apps).
Bij die plugins die je kan installeren kun je dan toegang krijgen tot de 
diverse streaming platforms op internet. Het apparaat heeft namelijk ook 
aansluiting op internet uiteraard (gigabit LAN). Ook android en iOS apps 
te verkrijgen hiervoor.
Omdat er diverse codecs op deze minicomputer aanwezig zijn kun je via 
LAN/USB3/optionele HD het apparaat ook gebruiken als (lokale) 
mediaplayer.
Er is ook nog een ingebouwd LCD TFT preview scherm.
Ik bedoel maar, als je toch kastjes gaat aanschaffen om de mogelijkheden 
van je tv uit te breiden dan vind ik zo iets heel erg mooi. Je bent dan 
ook niet afhankelijk van updates van apps voor de tv die via de fabrikant 
moeten gaan. Dergelijke apps worden al snel niet meer ondersteund.
Output van het HDMI signaal is overigens ook al geschikt voor 4K. Enige 
jammere is dan weer dat het HDMI 2.0 is en niet 2.1.
