Hi Amitai, this is certainly a great idea. What I was heading for is to describe the 'main line' of qmail and the patches around it addressing particular problems/SMTP enhancements in terms of a mind map (branches). Thus to speak the qmail heritage tree. Potentially also addressing some security pitfalls and lessons learned. There is DJB's paper about '10 years of Qmail'. Maybe it is time to widen the scope and also to include the effort of the community and other achievements of DJB. Well, these are my own thoughts, other people may have different. Regards. --eh.
