Mine doesn't have such a limit.
The same password since 2015, at least.
*******
Disable password expiration on Windows 10
Press Windows key + R on your keyboard. [Equivalent of right-click Start, then Run box]
In the run command box, copy or type lusrmgr.msc and hit enter.
Click "Users".
Double-click the username that you want to disable password expiration as seen below.
Put a check mark in "Password never expires".
Click Apply and hit OK.
That's the Google answer, but that would only work if
you were logged in as Administrator.
You may have more than one Administrator group account
lowboy : unelevated (not in Administrators group) <=== this account would not help
RobAdmin : maybe the account has expired on this one
Rob2Admin : you may have made a second Administrators Group account, and the (different) password here works
Password expiry of one account at 45 days, should not be synchronized to the
45 day interval on another account.
Either the RobAdmin or the Rob2Admin account could
do the lusrmgr.msc thing . Either administrator group
account should work, to modify settings in the passwords.
The lusrmgr is the local user manager, for creating new accounts
or making changes to existing accounts, but it only works
for administrator-group accounts (which support UAC elevation).
While there is an actual Administrator account, it is not
normally enabled (so does not need a password). And to switch
that on, you have to be in the Administrators group.
*******
The recipe we did before, was the osk.exe hack. It is supposed
to be blocked by Windows Defender, but if you run the machine
in Safe Mode, the hack is still supposed to work (as Windows
Defender won't be running).
But let us see what "account magic" you have up your sleeve
since the last time...
None of the hacks in this domain are exactly easy.

I vaguely remember what we didbefore by chaing the User Account to a Admin Account but all we had to then was delete the other account. I changed the settings so the password never expires. I went into the other Admin Account but it didn’t have any options to change the password. Only change the account and remove. So how do I change my password? Another thing I would like to change is my User Account requires a password and I’d like to remove it so it logs in like the 8500 and the ebay8500 without a password. Good, so you haven't lost control.
One administrator account, should be able
to change or interact with the password on
the other administrator account.
Jim (admin group) Both these accounts should be
Fred (admin group) able to do Administrator things...
The Windows 10 used to have a tick box for removing
the password requirement at startup, but they removed that
at some point. It might have been removed before 21H2 for example.
Here are examples of commands you can do in an elevated Terminal.
I look these up in my notes file first, to figure out what
web page I need for the instructions.
NET USER newaccount newpassword /ADD # Add an account
NET LOCALGROUP Administrators newaccount /add # Make the account an administrator, powers of UAC.
Then the question would be, whether you could
attempt to fix the stuckaccount.
NET USER stuckaccount differentpassword
This is the help for the command.
PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> net user -?
The syntax of this command is:
NET USER
[username [password | *] [options]] [/DOMAIN]
username {password | *} /ADD [options] [/DOMAIN]
username [/DELETE] [/DOMAIN]
username [/TIMES:{times | ALL}]
username [/ACTIVE: {YES | NO}]
And this is a similar page on the web.
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/administration/windows-commands/net-user
The instructions are telling us this.
NET USER stuckaccount # Get info on account first, to see if it is blocked, erased,
# or otherwise damaged. See what it says the problem is, and
# what response is going to work.
NET USER stuckaccount differentpassword # This applies a new password immediately.
NET USER stuckaccount * # For this option, the user comes over and types
# in their own password value (for example, if in a corporate
# setting, and the password change person gives the keyboard
# to the user sitting in the chair next to them). For your
# purposes, the previous format is good enough.
Once the password is overridden, go back to lusrmgr.msc and
tick the box to remove that expiry option. So the new password
will not expire in 45 days or whatever.
I hope nothing more destructive will be required
to fix this :-)

I’m on the 780,….
I tried entering the Net User command:
https://postimg.cc/qzn5Gkv3
I was able to create another Admin Account with password and
checked that the password never expires.
One other problem, when I run Spywareblaster it asks for the
Admin Account that doesn’t work not the new one that does.
Do I need to reinstall Spywareblaster to request the correct
Admin Account?
In passing the ebay 8500 still has no pop-ups,.. its humming
along nice and quiet.
Thanks,
Robert

When you enter the command, you have to substitute
the values that *you* want the account to have.
And you are running the first command, to check the status
of that account, to see if the second command would never work.
I don't know what an expired password looks like in terms of
an account status.
NET USER rob2 # I am checking the status of the rob2 account
# The commands are case insensitive, and upper case is just to show the "command" part.
# We need to reset the password, then take care of that expiry tick box (switch expiry off)
NET USER rob2 12345 # Once I am assured the account is not damaged then
# I can attempt to set a new password value of 12345 :-)
# You will use a more intelligent password value than that :-)
# Assuming this step works, the "expiry" tick box is next.
With regard to what the Installed Programs think, like the SpywareBlaster,
they can be "installed for this user" or "installed for everyone".
You need to "install that for everyone", so the product can work
when you are using your second Administrator Group account. That's
my guess as to what it is after.

That's only on W10, as the W11 I have here doesn't seem to have that. There is also some registry key for controlling expiry, but the GUI is more convenient for controlling it. Paul

The ebay8500 seems free of the virus. I sent an email to a friend without thinking about it but all seems well and haven’t heard a thing back regarding any virus. So is it alright if I post to you from the ebay8500? Thanks, Robert -- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. www.avast.com

I created Another user Account where I don’t have to sign on. So I had to download FF which affected the other User Account and thought I lost it but it came back OK. Also imported my bookmarks and copy/pasted ‘My Documents’, downloaded HD-Tune, and set up Seamonkey, btw I tried several times and I couldn’t get Solani to work. The various ports on news servers, can be not-encrypted (port 119), while other port values could be using TLS. Values for TLS are TLS 1.2 and TLS 1.3 . There is autonegotiation capability, so if the two ends cannot agree on TLS 1.3, then they can try TLS 1.2 . Standards before that are likely cracked. Or cracked-with-some-difficulty. Paul

Everything seems to be OK and the 780 new User Account works perfectly without me having to enter a password. So all is good. I'll try Solani again and see if I can get it to work. O.T. I checked the kitchen faucet again and the hot water line was leaking! So I tightened it a bit further and that seemed to do the trick. I've checked it several times since and its dry. I hope it stays that way. Robert -- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. www.avast.com

I'm on the ebay 8500 and I was watching a news video and heard a sound like when you try to close a window or dialog box but have to close something else first? I closed everything and I still heard it! So I restarted the computer,. so far no sound but that was weird. I hope it doesn't return. Thoughts/suggestions? I created another external hd to store folders which I’ve already used. However I used the Startech case to format one of the Win 7 hd’s then I put the hd with the folders back in the case. But now I get this error message: https://postimg.cc/CdPvgbLc It constantly opened and closed when I connected the USB with the power tab switch on the Startech and this message kept popping up with all kinds of alert sounds. I finally disconnected the external hd to stop it. I thought maybe I mounted the hd wrong so I opened it up and re-mounted it but the same thing happened. So what’s going on and how do I fix it ? Or is my Startech case toast? Also, I just noticed this ,.. should I turn on the App and browser control ? https://postimg.cc/3yd6s92R Thanks, Robert -- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. www.avast.com

It could be that the case is drawing bus power and overloading the port.
Does the case have its own power supply, and is the case power supply working ?
That answer to that is "Probably", since it does know there is a "Q: " involved
and that means it has been reading the disk. And then for some reason,
it decides to disconnect.
If the port was protected with a Polyfuse, it takes
time for those to cool off and recrystallize.
If I was debugging that, I'd likely need to get a USB power meter
(measures volts and amps on USB), and see what is going on there.
It's also possible for things like a bad driver to do something
like that, but this has been working for a long time, and that's
not it.
*******
The App & Browser control
Key Components
Reputation-Based Protection: Uses Microsoft Defender SmartScreen to check
web files and warn you if an app is unrecognized
or downloaded from a low-trust source.
Smart App Control (Windows 11): An advanced AI-driven mode that blocks
potentially unwanted programs (PUPs). It can be run in
an "Evaluation" mode to adapt to your specific PC usage.
Exploit Protection: System-level mitigations that prevent common hacker techniques
from executing against standard desktop applications.
It is all a bit of wishful thinking :-)
The Smart App Control might tell you that it can only be switched on right after an install.
