Dear list, I'm beginning to work with Ansible to configure my hosts. What is the best practice to run playbooks on all of my Linux host ? I must define a specific user ? Regards, Thierry

Usually you have a specific user that can SSH in and use sudo when it needs to. But if you want to you can make it SSH as root. Best practice would be an unprivileged user, ssh by public key, use sudo where necessary. Cheers, Andy -- https://bitfolk.com/ -- No-nonsense VPS hosting

Hi, too generic questions. Read more of the docs and you'll find out. Basically for configuration purpose of multiple hosts you need a user (ssh) to access the hosts. regards
