ffplay -f video4linux2 -framerate 30 -video_size hd720 /dev/video0

sample script above doesn't work: "Segmentation fault"

i can use mplayer:

mplayer -tv alsa:input=1:driver=v4l2:width=720:height=540 -vf screenshot -vo x11 tv://

three options are related to video input setting:
1) driver=v4l2
2) video size: width=720:height=540
3) input=1, in xawtv, this option is specified as
"Video Source = Composite1"

what are their corresponding options in ffplay?
/dev/video0 doesn't seem to be needed on command line

i needn't specify channel, i use remote control to change channel.

Thanks!

Kind of works for me:

$ ffplay -f video4linux2 -framerate 15 -video_size 640x480 /dev/video0
[video4linux2,v4l2 @ 0xe8a004a0] The driver changed the time per frame
from 1/15 to 1/30
Input #0, video4linux2,v4l2, from '/dev/video0':B sq= 0B f=0/0
  Duration: N/A, start: 15807.597194, bitrate: 147456 kb/s
    Stream #0:0: Video: rawvideo (YUY2 / 0x32595559), yuyv422, 640x480, 147456 kb/s, 30 fps, 30 tbr, 1000k tbn, 1000k tbc

I prefer mpv for this, but ffplay works too.

Since you're getting a SIGSEGV, you may have to follow the usual
routine: get a coredump, extract a backtrace with gdb, fill a bugreport.

I have just tested your script:
 ffplay -f video4linux2 -framerate 15 -video_size 640x480 /dev/video0
It doesn't work, Segmentation fault.
Thanks anyway!
